Dragster Cam is Back... sorta.

Even though it's not posted on Cedar Point's site yet, I noticed today that the Dragster Cam started broadcasting again.

Yeah, it hasn't updated. It sure does have its share of problems.

By looking at that pic it looks like they fixed PT's lights too.

What do you mean it hasn't updated? I just clicked on it and it said 10:20am. This isn't like viewing it on CP's site. It won't refresh every minute by itself. You need to click refresh.

I wonder how long before they plug it back into the webcam app.

Attendance must be up, because the reason it "broke" before was so the park could hide attendance problems!

The lot sure filled up since 10:30. I used to go this last week of August for a couple of days with family, since about 2003. This is the first year we didn't. Every year it seemed to get busier. Now with so many kids still on their summer vacation the park is just like it is through July and early August, but with an earlier closing time. Hopefully next year they consider a 10pm closing time for all of August.

The DragsterCam has been a bit of a challenge this year. I intend on keeping it up over the weekend, and if we experience more downtime, I will likely relocate it to a more permanent, stable area in the park.

We've done everything we can over the summer to make adjustments to the electronics, power and lens. I'm afraid we're out of options.

I do apologize. Trust me, I think it gives an amazing view of the park and will hate to see it go.

^^I hope you've at least consulted MacGyver or either Chuck Norris or Bob Sanders before you've considered all options expended!!!

Because if you ask me, the Dragster Cam works when Chuck Norris tells it to!!

Thanks Tony, it's gotta be hard maintaining a camera thats 300 feet + in the air that being exposed to all the elements. Just let us know when you need suggestions on where to put it next if you need to
