Mean Streak's New Sign

Up until today, I had not been on the ride since opening day so excuse me if this is old news but when did Mean Streak get an entrance arch sign? Have to say it looks very nice, and is this a sign that Magnum might be getting its much talked about actual queue sign this off season?

I saw that today too. It's very sharp and I'm sure it will help draw people towards the little hole in the wall that is Mean Streak's entrance.

I still can't believe that Magnum has never had one. Granted, when the ride opened, the station with the name framed the background of the queue, but you can't even see the station or the queue from the midway anymore.

Yeah, it's been in the past 2 weeks. I think the sign looks great, but I really feel as though Magnum should have gotten a new sign before Mean Streak...

...but that's just my opinion

I must have walked under it on Saturday without even noticing it.

Guess this officially ends the "They're tearing it down after the season ends" discussion. They wouldn't invest in a new sign like that if it were coming out soon.

While it's very nice to have an entrance sign, as we should have had back in 1991, it'll do little to no work promoting the ride (which is heavily needed).

What they should have done was make a sign for it near Maverick's midway sign. That'll do the job.

There is a sign near the ICEE stand near Maverick's entrance that points to Mean Streak...

It's just a bad place for an entrance. I used to get lost trying to find that entrance.

Obsessed Freak which sign are you talking about? The one above the entrance looks great and is obviously in the right place because there is the sign on the midway near the ICEE stand pointing people in the direction of Mean Streak. Other than doing it 17 years too late, I'd say they did a pretty nice job.

never noticed it, but I'm going back to Cedar Point this Saturday and Sunday so I'll have to check it out.

I'm assuming you're part of the special event that is going on at the park Saturday, seeing as it is closed to the public.

And CP Obsessed Freak how is the sign near the ICEE stand dumb? It is on the midway where most people walk near and see it and it helps them find the entrance to the huge wooden coaster they can see the top of but not much of the rest.

Because it's still a fairly small sign, and you almost have to look for the sign in order to find Mean Streak. Mean Streak is a real, hidden coaster.. I have a lot of guests ask me where is Mean Streak when they spot me on the midway.
