Walking distance?

Is there a site that shows how far the walking distance is around the park or at least from the front to the back?

Not that I know of. I can tell you it takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes to walk from the front gates to the very back near Mean Streak. It all depends how fast you walk.

I was there a week ago or so and it felt like we walked miles thats why I wondered how far it actually is.

If I remember correctly, it's like 2.6 miles if you walk from the front gate, back to mean streak and thru frontiertrail and back. I forget where I came up with that figure.

And if you're wondering, it was mentioned in a recent blog entry that the avg. guest walks approx. 9 miles per visit. So go ahead, have another corn dog.

I thought I heard that it was about a mile from the front to Maverick a while back when they were hyping it up on one of the PointCasts.

It is exactly one mile from the front gate to Mean Streak's entrance.

You know you can always use Google Earth to measure distance too!

Wow that is very cool. Thanks. I havent used google earth in a long time but last time I did I couldnt zoom in very much without it getting really blurry

Google Pedometer is good too this way you can see exactly how far you walked per a specific trip

A while back on C.P.'s website under the "fun facts" or something category, it said that from the front gate to the Mean Streak and then back to the main gate via the Frontier Trail was 2.1 miles.
