Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

The unlimited drink wristband might turn out to be a good deal on those hot summer days.

All weekend I only saw 3 people with the soft drink wristbands. I'm curious how those will go over.

How much more weight loss will it take to get on Raptor, Mantis, MF and TTD?

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

How do the drink wristbands work, and how much do they cost? I bet you didn't see a lot of people with them Josh, because it was opening weekend and nobody really knew about them yet.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

I think its 8.95 and guess you just go anywhere where they have fountain drink and just ask for your drink.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

Could be Jesz... It really isn't a bad deal considering a regular fountain soda runs around 3.25 in the park. More than 3 sodas in a day, and it pays for itself.

I did notice more signage going up for the wristbands. There was even a sign placed Sunday on the stairs leading up to Magnum.

That is a really good deal! I think we will be doing that a lot this year.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

I'm not positive, but I think the drink wristbands are only available in select locations. I didn't look very closely at the signage, but I'm pretty sure I heard something about them being available at Town Hall and Guest Services or something like that.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

I wonder if this will be cutting into the Maverick Cup sales! Since the wristband is cheaper! They had signs in about every coaster line.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

^The only catch to that is I believe the wristband has to be purchasednew each time you visit CP, whereas the Maverick cup is something youpurchase once then bring back each visit for $.99 refills.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

But with the wristband, you do not have to carry a cup around with you the rest of the day.

^True that.....all depends how badly you want to save a few bucks, andhow often you'll find yourself in the park buying a drink!

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

My sister is literally addicted to pop. lol. So when we are at CP, she buys pop a lot. Last year we were stuck with carrying the cup around. This year, it will definately be the wrist band...which will save us A LOT of money.

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

Did the coaster get new re tracking for 2009. I remember it being rough? Is it smoother now? rc56

Re: Magnum XL-200 the star on opening day

rollercoaster56, Magnum did not get re tracked. I don't think or no steel coasters are retracked. If you are talking about mean streak, some of it was retracked and thier were mixed reviews!
