Skyhawk!

Is it me, or do they just keep making the ride shorter and shorter??
I rode it yesterday and we swung three times at the most and then it was over. It didn't even go as high as it usually did.
I was disappointed. because I was looking forward to it all day.

Not sure, but MaXair seems to have a longer cycle this year than last.

^^Really? This weekend I was with some others, and we all agreed that they added an extra full swing (to and fro) to the cycle. I think it's better now than it has ever been.

Agreed Dvo, they seemed to have added an extra swing to the ride when I went on Sunday.

I thought it was running one full swing longer for last weekend as well. The ERT was quite good on Friday night.

Well, if they did they added it recently. When I was there opening week I had the exact same impression as Millie Freak 0329 did - it seemed about 1/2 to 1 swing shorter.

^Thats what I though when I rode it on Opening Day too! I'll have to check it out when I go Sunday and see if it's longer!

maybe it was shorter opening weekend to help with lines..

(Unrelated note: I hope to ride Skyhawk for the first time this Monday! )

On Saturday night, the operator indicated to us that they have lengthened the cycle, but that it is now the same length that it was when the ride opened new. Suggesting that the ride cycle had been shortened and then restored.

^^ I am happy for that. When it first opened(from what i observed) it took alot longer to stop the wings from moving.That might be the only problem. I wish there was a way how they could fix that
by the way RideMan love the signature!

Yeah. I mean, I hadn't ridden it since opening year. I went two weeks ago and it still seemed short, but not as short as it was on Monday. So, who knows.

It was shut down for awhile, but would they really shorten it due to that??

It's not nearly as loud as it used to be. Kennywood's is very loud, but at least when I was there, they weren't lining people up right by the towers.
