Out of this world Subway prices

I have not been to the park at all this year and I am planning on going later on today. I have heard of the prices of the Subway subs and am curious if they are true.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

Yes, they are true. Subway prices are nearly 3 times as much as what you would pay at a normal Subway resturaunt, also they skimp on the toppings. Your best bet would be to buy some before heading into the park and bring a cooler with you (I did that one year and saved quite a bit of money). For 2 foot longs, 2 pops and chips, we spent 40 dollars on Subway at Cedar Point, never doing that again.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

It is funny though, that everytime we pass by subway in the park, there is a huge line.

Nothing quite prepares you for the shock of seeing "Add a 22oz. drink + a side to your favorite sub for only $5.95" (Side being cookie or bag of chips).

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

There isn't much in the park business that surprises me anymore. But, $40 for two people to eat at a Subway is INSANITY. Last week I had ordered a capuccino, an espresso and a mambo piece of cake at a restaurant and it cost me 24 Euros. (A little shy of $30.) At that moment I was like, "holy ****".

Well, in hindsight, I was sitting at an outdoor table in San Marco Square in Venice with a string quartet playing music behind me. So, not a bad deal.

Particularly when compared to $40 at a SUBWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

I usually sing a parody of the song "5 Dollar Footlong" when passing CP's subways. The title of that which is "5 Dollar 3 Inch"

I think it has a pretty good ring to it. Unfortunately it doesn't get me all that excited about buying a sub for that obscene price.

Chief: You bring back a great memory of Italy for me. My wife and I went to the upper patio bar of a swank hotel along the Grand Canal. Cost of crappy drink made with Compari - 20 euro. View - priceless.

Anyone have any real stats on what kind of business that Subway stand gets? Granted, when I was there earlier this month, I actually saw people waiting to get one. Maybe they hadn't seen the price yet!

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

I'd much rather leave the park and drive to the subway right off rye beach.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

I would like to learn how the new Subway in Challenge Park is faring. I was bummed to see that they removed the arcade in favor of another Subway.

What are they going to replace next? I'm sure C.P. could make more money if they converted the Coliseum into a WalMart, right?

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

The prices range from about 7 to 8 dollars for a 6 inch, and 13 to 14 dollars for a footlong. I actually feel bad for the employees that work there. I wonder how many times a day they have people ask them if they have 5 dollar footlongs, and then walk away when they see the prices.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

I thought the $7-8 for a foot long at the Subway on our campus was steep (considering the prices at a Subway off campus) and they do not offer the $5 foot longs advertised either. I thought the pricing at CP would be about the same...but $13 for a foot long?? That's robbery.

Its only robbery if give them your money.

And if you're willing to give them your money, you're a fool.

And if you're a fool, does it really count as robbery?

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

There are actually a handful of Subways in Sandusky. Basically you're getting a $5 footlong plus an $8 surcharge. Hopefully people will continue to get outraged and simply bring coolers. It didn't use to be such a big deal, but when you can save $10 plus per meal by walking to the car, it's worth it.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

At Michigan's Adventure, the line to Exit the park with a hand stamp was longer than the line to enter the park at 12 noon. (the park open's at 11am) Hmmmmmmm.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

I noticed while at the park today, they removed the prices for the footlong subs from the menu all together.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

I was with Crazy Horse and we both saw that they did get rid of the footlong subs. But anywhere from 7 to almost 11 dollars for a 6 inch sub is like highway robbery. I would rather find another place to eat in the park or get something to eat before entering the park. I also saw some people getting ready to go in line but got out of the line after they saw the prices. I think Subway should have a say in how a park charges for its subs to be honest.

Re: Out of this world Subway prices

Not to mention they are limited on their selection either. I cant even get the chicken bacon ranch or pizza sub there. The chicken bacon ranch is extremely popular to.
