2015 Prices

Usually, we have a few threads discussing the different prices around the park and how they change or stay the same over the season and the off-season. We can also talk about different deals that we know. I'm thinking that a forum should be started to keep all that for this season in one place. I'll start with one thing I just found.

The souvenir cups for this year will be the same price as they always have been, $9.99 online and $14.99 in park, with the usual discount for bulk buys. They still offer free refills the day of purchase, but after that, they will be a dollar, like always, unless it's a Freestyle fill. They'll now cost $2.

I saw that price increase(also), as stated by CP Food blog. But curious as to the Freestyle increase, is it that popular, or more costly to operate?

Keep passing the fun along!

I'd be willing to bet that it's the popularity. With the freestyle you have so many more options than the plain 8 or whatever with a fountain refill

We're discussing the actual prices for anything at the park in 2015.

Kings Island has so much better pricing! Only went once this year but I paid $10 for a wristband, no cup to carry, and got my discount.

I'd gladly pay $10 for a wristband each time instead of a cup. Which is why I will never buy the souvenir cup. I'm already hands free with a fanny pack for rides per CP rules, why would I want to hold a cup all day? We drink a lot of water.

I would really like a drink plan to add to season passes. I hate carrying the souvenir cups around and with the cost of renting lockers, it never pays for itself.

If I may add, with the prices CP charges for drinks, they don't even need to charge admission. To be fair, they are typical Park prices.

The souvenir cups are $9.99 + tax online, and I thought they were the same in park with a platinum pass (no proof of that, though). Cedar Point has apparently occasionally sold the wristbands, and some have been told that Kings Island wasn't even supposed to be selling them. It sounds like there is no consistently-enforced policy there.

Tony, Jason, anyone from Cedar Fair, if you're listening... Please give us an all-season soft drink plan. I'd easily pay $30 (maybe even a bit more) for unlimited Coca-Cola products to use alongside my $99 dining plan. As it is, I've only ever purchased soda at the marina store and on Guest Appreciation Day.

In 2015, souvenir cups will still be $9.99 online, and $14.99 in the park, with free refills on day of purchase. 99 cent refills after that, but coca cola freestyle will be $1.99. Rougarou will also be featured on them.

I'm curious about the all season dining plan add-on. So, if I have a platinum pass, the add on is going to cost me 99.00, but if I have the regular season pass, only 81? What if i only want to dine at CP and don't care about dining at other CF parks? Why am I forced to have to buy the platinum dining plan?

I think you will have to buy the $99, but if you go to another park, you'll probably be happy that you bought it.

I've been to a number of enthusiast events where the parks have given us, among other things, a souvenir cup with free refills. They end up in the car at the earliest opportunity. I carry the absolute bare minimum number of items in a park (ID, debit card or cash, car key, camera) and would rather drink water and one over-priced bottle of soda pop than have the cup to deal with all day long.

^^^ Have you checked with the park to verify that this is correct?

Just out of curiosity, what are the 2015 ticket prices going to be? I got an email with a special to buy a ticket at 2014 prices and get a free fast lane pass with admission. Which brings me to my original question. Are ticket prices going up for 2015?

They go up every year. Some years not by more than a few dollars but I'm sure we can count on at least a slight increase.

I'm sure there will be some sort of increase, especially with the increase in tax for admission tickets that got passed recently. Not too sure how much that will affect the prices, but it's still an increase I guess

Well, there was one year that they went down, after a serious over-increase the year before. I think you know who was in charge then.

Completely off topic.....but just wanted to tell Jeff ^^^ that I really like your shirt...wore mine to the dentist just two days ago! :D

Does anyone know why there isn't anything Rougarou related in the online shop yet? I thought I remember there being a few Gatekeeper shirts avaialble for purchase online after that anouncement was made.

The online shop seems to be updated somewhat randomly. It has never appeared to me that it was much of a priority for Cedar Point to keep it current.
