6/12

First trip to the park this year. Forecast showed for 80% chance of storms all day. Stuck it out and knew it wasn't going to rain all day. Which it didn't! Got to the park around 10 and it was clear skies and pretty warm!

First ride of the day was Gatekeeper. Pretty much a walk on! We only waited a little bit on the stairs and then about three trains in the station. My friend did MaXair next and I sat out because I would have puked my guts out! Next up was Iron Dragon and waited maybe around 2 trains. After ID we went over to Millennium Force and waited maybe about 30 minutes and sat in the front. This ride is amazing in the front!

After we walked down the trail to Maverick and waited maybe a half hour to 40 for this one. The new restraints are awesome and made the ride even better than it ever was. Next we had lunch at the Roundup right by Maverick and after checked out the petting farm. After we walked over to Shoot the Rapids and shockingly enough it was closed! (gasp) ...well what was weird was it had riders on and it was running but the sign out front said it was closed. Who knows. So next we went over to Thunder Canyon and as we enter the line the winds are getting heavy and it looks like a big storm is coming. TC was a little chilly at this point with the wind. Was still a fun ride though.

After we walked over to Mine Ride and waited a few trains for that. We were the last train to go and then it shut down due to weather I guess? Even though the storm didn't come until probably a half hour later. Also I guess there was a power outage at the front of the park according to the ride op?

Anyways so we get in line for the train and downpour begins. Train closes down but luckily we were safe under the Frontier Town station. Probably sat there for a good half hour and then it lightened up but rides were still closed. During that we took a stroll through Breakers and did they do a great job! The hotel looks great! After that we noticed Rougarou was still running in the light rain so went on that. Good ride and better than Mantis! Seemed faster and more intense. Minor head banging was experienced. After that the downpour came back and we decided to ride the train in circles until it stopped. Probably a half hour of riding the train. It was relaxing at least.

After the rain stopped we took a spin on Mean Streak. Running one train and had the worst ride ever on it. Rough as no other! After we walked over to TTD which seemed to be running so jumped in line and waited about 45 for the front. Awesome ride as usual!

Next we went to dinner over at Friday's and had a good meal. After we headed back into the park and rode Magnum and then headed out for the night.

Good day overall besides some bad weather!

Also, I know this is a random observation but I noticed they added a lot of new trash cans around the park without the CP logo stickers on them! Looks better with them.
