I think they have Sunday services in Breakers, not completely positive though.

There is a breakers service... but there are also some catholic churches in town not far from CP if you have a car. I do believe there are actually two.

But just FYI your supervisors probably wont accommodate you having off for church. Depends on how early it is.

actually if u ask nicely and just say u want sundays to be ur day off they will usually let u. technically its against the law for them to not allow u off for church because it can be seen as discrimination

they have some kind of catholic mass at hotel breakers every Sunday if you want to do that, but if not there are churches near the areas

There are two Masses at Hotel Breakers on Sundays from May through Labor Day weekend (with the exception of one Sunday in June because the conference room where Mass is held won't be available). If memory serves me right, they are usually at 8 am and 10 am. Deacon Jack helps organize it, and visiting priests officiate.

Aside from that, there are three Catholic churches in Sandusky. Sts. Peter and Paul is probably the closest (about a 40 minute walk) http://www.stspeterpaul.com/ There's also St. Mary's ( http://www.stmarysandusky.org/ ) and Holy Angels ( http://www.holyangelssandusky.org/ ) but these are a bit farther away.

The Mass at Breakers is always nice and interesting to meet the visiting officiates. On two separate occasions, I was surprised by my hometown priest (who lives an hour away) and a priest who formerly taught at my grade school years ago. It was a nice surprise and fun to re-connect.

I agree that if you are firm/aggressive in requesting Sunday mornings off, then management should be more than happy to accomodate you. But again, you must be firm/aggressive.

I bet that was neat seeing your hometown priest. Where are your from? I'm from Cambridge, Ohio (2.5 hours away). I went to Holy Angels when I worked there last summer. Having Sundays off worked out well, so I will do it again this year.

I'm Catholic. However, I chose sleep over Mass.

Don't worry Chris. Everyone is different. It's your choice.

My friend was close to a local Catholic church in Sandusky and they picked him up every sunday morning. Im Orthodox :( the closest Greek Orthodox church is in Toledo that I know of

Hey I was able to get every Sunday off to watch NASCAR ha ha. I would think getting at least Sunday Mornings off for church wouldn't be a problem.

GO IRISH!!

There is an Orthodox Church in Marblehead. It is not Greek, It's more Slavic.

That's cool Clevelandkid. I'm Catholic, but not Orthodox. It's probably not too different. What are you doing in 2012?

The two churches are similar. Lots of tradition going way back.

I'm planning to go to Cedar Point and soak City a lot, plus a bunch of Indians games. How's that sound.

That sounds good. If you come to the park and I'm working, you should stop by and say hi. I'll either be at Antique Cars/Wave Swinger, or Iron Dragon. It just depends on which Hiring Manager calls me. I'll let you know.

I'll try to remember to do that Jake.
