Closing Day 2014

I arrived at the park around 10:30, and got to take advantage of the remaining 30 minutes of early entry. While walking from the soak city gate, I saw dragster was letting people on (I thought it wasn't an early entry ride) so my brothers and I took the opportunity while our parents headed to millennium. There was only a 2 train wait ahead of us. The ride op who was on the mic at the time (didn't catch his name) also made for an even better start to the day. After getting off dragster, we rejoined my parents at millennium, and got in 2 rides waiting no more than 10 minutes each. At this point we noticed it was close to 12 when the food deals were starting, so we headed toward the front of the park for taffy, and bought a total of 5.5 pounds. After that my brother and dad went to get pizza while my mom, brother and I headed over by gatekeeper to get cheeseburgers. As much as I'd like to complain about the line, I realize I can't because it's not often you can buy 6 cheeseburgers and 2 souvenir cups for the price of 2 meals. Once we were done eating, we went back to the car to drop off our taffy.

After going back into the park, my mom, brothers and I rode magnum. I rode in 2-1, and got a trim less ride. All I can say is wow, that was great, probably the best ride I've had on magnum. After getting off of magnum we went to gemini. Had about a 20 minute wait because they were only letting people on one side of the red train, and the other was filled with weight bags. Again, rode in 2-1 with a trim less ride. That last helix was pretty crazy. Next we went to maverick to find it was down. So we rode the train for a lap and a half. After we got off the train we got one last ride on millennium, always a great ride. And that ends our rides for the 2014 season. We walked through the frontier trail to get back to the car, just to see everything for one last time of the year.

Overall I'd say it was a light but successful ending trip. Now I'll be counting down the days until May 9th, and eagerly awaiting 2015 applications to be released.
