Good places to eat outside of park

Any good places to eat breakfast? What about dinner? Thanks.

Not sure about breakfast, but Chet & Matt's Pizza is a local favorite for dinner.

Ditto about Chet & Matt's pizza. Margaritaville (not affiliated with Jimmy Buffett) is a great place to eat as well. Great outside bar and atmosphere.

I like the "East of Chicago" pizza place because their food tastes good and it's cheap--and the "Thirsty Pony" is pretty cool too.

Cedar Point replaced East of Chicago with Dairy Queen Grill and Chill.

We have have always wondered about that place. My niece has always loved the name but we have never stopped there

Berardi's. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Although they close at 1:30 Sunday afternoons.

East Side Cafe is an awesome local place for breakfast. The food is cheap, the location is right near the causeway and the service is fantastic too. You'll be blown away by the size and taste of their homemade sausage patties.

Home Village on Rt250 is the best Chinese restaurant in Sandusky. Quite possibly the best I've ever had. Unfortunately they no longer have a dinning room, so I only go by here on days with great weather. That way I can carry-out to one of the park pavilions.

I agree. Also, The Lunchbox in Downtown Sandusky on Columbus Ave.

Thanks all. The last time we were there we went to this little cafe and had breakfast. For the life of me I can't remember the name. When you walked in the door, straight ahead of you was a counter where they sold baked goods. It was across the street from Pat Catans and up the road from Dollar General. Anyone know what the name of the place is?

We usually dont eat in Sandusky. If we do its either at chipotle or panera on Milan Rd. Ive always wondered where i can get a really good meal at a really good restaurant. In other words, if im looking to go out on a hot date and spend a little more money than usual where can i go?

Try downtown Sandusky- Crush Wine Bar, Zinc Brasserie, J Bistro.

I've been to Crush and Zine... both very, very good.

Ming's Garden without a doubt is my favorite place for Chinese food in Sandusky. It's delicious and unique.

If you're looking to spend a little more and have a great, classy Italian meal, Weazy's is the place you want!

The name is a little strange for Italian, but trust me... you'll be glad you chose to eat here instead of Olive Garden. I love this place.

I second this. Great food, great prices, great service. Large plates of food.

Have you tried Bay Harbor? It has great food and is right on the Cedar Point Property. And I agree with CP2013. Our downtown has many good restaurants. A hidden gem is the BACI club located at the Comfort Inn on Route 250. Manny's is a local favorite, they now have a Sunday Brunch. We frequent the Better Half for breakfast. It's also downtown Sandusky.

A little off topic, but one thing I can never seem to find is a decent bar while I am in Sandusky. Any advice?

If you're looking for a nice date-type atmosphere, and you're willing to drive a little bit, try Mon Ami.

It's a winery/restaurant near Port Clinton. Here's the website: http://www.monamiwinery.com/
