Haunted Cedar Point

DNA from ghosts is always possible ya know. . .
I heard Valleyfair's High Roller is haunted as well.
I saw on some site that someone got ran over by a train late at night when Valleyfair was the Excelsior Park, and that the ghost is seen walking beside the return run.

My dad is a "medium". Too bad I never got it :( bummer. There is some type of paranormal activity that goes on at the Breakers for sure. No doubt about that.

What makes you think there is paranormal activity at Breakers IvyRose? I'm curious what your reasoning is, since I really think that these stories are just people's imaginations gone wild.

Pete, just because you cant see something doesn't mean its not there. My dad picks up (paranormal activity) because he is a "medium" so to speak. He can go into a building or a location and sense or see or feel something. Hes a normal person with an ability a lot of other people don't have. He had a sensation that someone was trying to take his arm and pull him down a certain hallway. Sure you can TRY and find some scientific reason for it but if your not the person with the ability I'm not going to have much luck convincing you about something your skepticizing about in the first place. He has seen apperitions in my grandmas sisters house, and later looked through an old family album after describing them to my grandmas sister and was able to point out who he saw. Hes not seeing things; hes not a drug user, hes just one of those people with an ability only few do have that is legit and not a prank or a way to get attention.

See I can explain it to you all I want but its something you cannot totally explain. So take it as it is or be close minded.

Rose, thanks for the explanation. I actually find the topic interesting and am not closed minded. Personally, I've never seen anything close to any paranormal activity, but then again, I'm sure I'm not sensitive to any such activity.

Just one more question. Where are the areas in Breakers that your dad has detected paranormal activity? While I'm still a skeptic, I do respect your dad's opinion from how you described him, and I'd like to go to those areas this summer late at night while most guests are asleep.

This was quite a long time ago. I was only a teenager. I can't remember what part it was, maybe bon air? I remember steps or a stairwell but I seriously can't remember. And as far as going to those certain spots to see; Most of us will get absolutly nothing to prove anything hard evidence doesn't exist when it comes to the "paranormal". I ran around that Breakers and even got myself lost, but I see and feel nothing. I'm bummed but not everyone is that lucky I guess.

This is going way back, and to the best of my recollection, I recall a story long ago about a haunted room on the second or third floor of the rotunda, overloooking the beach. This room is apparently still empty today. If you try to enter the room, a force will try to pull back out.

I do think the emty rooms with no doors in the rotunda are a little creepy. Maybe they were old rooms? They have a window and one time I seen a lone chair in there and it reminded me of a room in an asylum minus the padded walls

Why is every carousel out there haunted and turning on by itself at night? Typical story. At least this one just comes on. The Kennywood one supposedly screams while turning backwards.

I have yet to see or hear this one.

At Phantom Fright Nights, we make the band organ pay backwards and it makes sort of weird sound. Think this is what it means?

BTW, when I die, I'm haunting Millie and giving myself rides at night. *** Edited 6/25/2007 7:33:08 AM UTC by Phantom 1898***

^ That might be what it is, I don't know. I heard this one from numerous people.

When I die, I claim Magnum. :)

It's called Millennium Force, not "Millenium" Force. Thanks.

It seems to me that the empty rooms were guest rooms at one time, but now the serve as fire exits.

I think there is a fire escape outside of each empty room, and the doors were removed to allow the room to act as a general emergency exit for that floor of the rotunda.

Maybe that "ghost hunter" that was on TV this last weekend ought to visit CP. It would be interesting to see who is haunting the park. The old CEO, a person who died there, etc.

When I worked there in 1999, the rumor at the time was that Mean Streak was built on an old Indian grave and at night Mean Streak was haunted.

Well, I think the room is on the third floor and is one of the fire exit rooms.

Good story, but of course nothing really happens. I've been in that room just looking around the rotunda. It's interesting to see what the old rooms were like, and it brings back memories of staying in the hotel when I was a young kid in the '60s.

No force however keeps you from entering the room. A force like that would, of course, go against fire regulations if I'm right about the room being a fire exit. :)

We're heading to CP on Sunday for 5 days. Any updates on recent hauntings? The kids like looking for spooks.

I'm a paranormal freak. So, I hope I can research some of this myself. ^^

I can say Breakers is haunted for sure though.

^You can say for sure?

Let me guess... While you were sleeping in your bedroom you heard some bumping noises from the ceiling? I've got some news for you. That's not ghosts. ;)

since Halloweekends are upon us, it's appropriate to rekindle spooky stories.

^ For once, I'm glad someone revived a dead thread. I really like stuff like this and hearing all the old legends and everything
