No more CP logos on the trash cans?

I've noticed this year a lot of the trash cans don't have the CP logo on them anymore. Granted they are only trash cans but I thought it gave them a better look.

That's garbage if true.

I remember the days of area and attraction specific trash cans like the ones for Oceana, Demon Drop, White Water Landing, etc. It was a little thing but those were the kind of details that made Cedar Point special back in the day.

"Thank the Phoenicians!"

Wasn't the trash can design the backdrop of the old Cedar Fair logo? I recall it being the same generic design at CP, Michigan's Adventure, and Kings Island among others.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a new decal forthcoming either based off the new CF logo or more park-specific.

I know that Knotts has been using trash cans with only the CF logo on them for several years now.

I'd guess it's due to the logo change. Hopefully they do more park specific stickers on the cans. Honestly I liked the old CF logo better than the new one.

I remember seeing trash cans with pictures of Giant Wheel, Gemini, Corkscrew, and the Amazement Park logo years ago.

The new logo doesn't even look like a roller coaster. Just looks like a bundled mess.

of roller coasters.

More like a messed up figure eight with lines going down to make it look like supports.

but looks cool.

I still prefer the old logo.

I'll be sure to look out for the old CP logo garbage cans at MiA tomorrow.

If I'm not mistaken, MA has a couple of different designs. Think one is a green background and they also have the blue background. Plus the park is still littered with their (MA's) old logo.

Also, does anyone recall when they (CF) got this new model of trash can?

I still miss the parking lot signs. I imagine it was much easier to find your car back in the day. For you young whipper snappers the signs were every other row I think. There were different ride sections, kind of like Kings Island.

Someone help me out here, I think the sections were Gemini, Wildcat, Space Spiral, Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Blue Streak, and Giant Wheel. Any others? I think those signs disappeared by the mid 90's, they were definitely there in '89 when my family had passes.

There was a Demon Drop section. Up near the Demon Drop, of course.

Out of all of the new things posted yesterday, the reviews that Steel Vengeance is indeed the new KING of coasters...

I am most excited for...

The new Frontiertown CP trashcans....

Seriously. Love it.

Ahhhh yes. I fondly recall saving all our garbage, and piling it in the family stroller so that I could deposit it all in the first available Gemini trash can I came across, to show support for my favorite ride.

You know it's been a long off-season when we are talking about logos on trash cans and the magical touch they bring to the guest experience.

Any current employees know if there are still old school cans in the employee areas at the park? They always had some scattered backstage when I worked there, but my last year was 2010.

Yes. I definitely recall some of those garbage cans with the old school county fair style writing on them with the red logo saying "Amazement Park"
