Season Passes

Definitely go BEFORE the park opens for the regular season. Cedar Point has cut down the line of people waiting to process their season pass with their renew-by-mail program. But even with that, the line on opening day is still unbelievably long. Generally in years past, the season pass office opens about two weeks prior to opening day.
ok thanx a lot Raptor.
I sent in my renewal certificate the first week of Janurary. I have yet to recieve my picture ID. Is anyone else still waiting? I am getting nervous.

I called the season pass office today. I hadn't received the second pass we sent in. The employee told me that the passes were put together by month received. He told me that my pass would be here in about 2 weeks, and that he did have it there. I am guessing that my certificates arrived there at the beginning of December, and my first certificates were there in November. So if you sent them in after that, be patient. It appears that CP has some sort of organized plan to deal with them. I'm glad they have their act together.
I received my pass today, a week and a half sooner than they said it would arrive. I wish everyone was this efficient.
I'm so jealous of you locals...

Just standard business practice, "under promise, over produce" In other words, tell them it will take 3 weeks even though you know it will take 1 & 1/2. That way when the customer receives item or service quicker than they were quoted the supplier is considered efficient with "great" customer service.

Plus, if anything happens to delay the item until the purposely longer promised date - they don't look as bad AND they don't receive as many "Where's my stuff?" calls!!!

Makes perfect sense to me.

WOULD YOU "GET TO THE PO!NT" ALREADY?!?!?!

Aww Tambo! Why'd ya have to ruin it for me!!!

And Pro Bob, you're not helping either.

I was just glad to get it as I had received one of my passes and was worried the other was lost.

I knew I should have taken Business 101.

I buy my Season Pass at MIA. It's cheaper and closer to me. And good at ALL Cedar Fair parks.

I mailed my certs. in just before Thanksgiving and I just got my passes yesterday. I think they look really cool this year, I like the color scheme better too, blues and greens. :)

Interesting... mine fades from red on the top to orange in the middle, and the orange area has all these random white squares.

Maybe it's because it's a Combo? Or because the Joe Cool and Parking are together?

Probably the combo thing. Mine is CP / Joe Cool / Parking and not Soak City.

Mine is a combo, with Joe Cool and Parking. It is red, fading to orange and then to white blocks.
That was the color scheme last year basically for the non-combo passes with JC and Parking. This year it is blue to green, which I think looks better.
