Snowfall on the Point

We're halfway through September, and HalloWeekends starts today. So as the weeks progress, the weather will gradually get ever so colder, eventually cold enough for it to snow.

That being said, I got to wondering: has Cedar Point ever experienced a significant amount of snowfall during the operating season? And has winter weather (snow, freezing rain, etc.) ever caused rides or even the entire park to close?

This fall has been pretty mild to be honest. Even though it isn't really fall yet, but usually right after Labor Day temps will dip to upper 60's.

Saw a report today that the peak of the fall colors won't even peak until Oct. 24th. That's pretty late!

Actually, the fall colors are not late. We are still in Summer, Fall starts Wednesday September 23rd.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

It snowed early in the morning of opening day 1989, when Magnum debuted to the public.
