Local contractors involved in construction of new Cedar Fair headquarters

Construction of new corporate headquarters creates trickle down effect for local contractors.

An estimated eight union contractors and 15 local material suppliers have worked or will be part of the $3.13 million building project, according to a list compiled by Cedar Fair and sent to the Sandusky City Commission.

The company has a tax abatement with Sandusky to abate 100 percent of the building's property taxes for 10 years. Cedar Fair also agreed to use its best efforts to hire at least 75 percent of those workers from Sandusky or Erie County.
