SANDUSKY, Ohio, June 8 -- Cedar Point will reward educators for their hard work during Salute Education Weekend, Friday through Sunday, June 11-13, at the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort.

During the three-day event, teachers, principals and other school support staff members will be able to purchase admission tickets to the park for themselves and their immediate family for only $32, a savings of $13.99 per ticket.  To qualify for the discount, school staff members must present their school ID or union card at any of the park's admission booths.

On Saturday, June 12, a brand new ice-skating show that will be popular with guests of all ages will begin its summer run at the park.  Presented in the Good Time Theatre, Everyone Loves Snoopy will feature Snoopy and his friends and 16 talented skaters in a high-energy show replete with colorful costumes, lively music and complex skating routines.  In addition to Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and Schroeder will add to the excitement of the 30-minute show.

Everyone Loves Snoopy will be one of five new shows performed in the park this summer.  Other additions to the park's award-winning entertainment lineup are a new country show in The Palace Theatre in Frontiertown, Rock Band, Live in the Jack Aldrich Theatre, the Red Garter Saloon's Tropical Heat, Island Beat, and Happy Birthday Snoopy, a musical commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the PEANUTS comic strip in the Camp Snoopy Theatre.

To brighten up the night, Starlight Experience, the themed lighted walkway along the Frontier Trail that uses more than one million LED lights, is in operation until the Maverick and Millennium Force roller coasters close for the evening.  At 10 p.m., Hot Summer Lights featuring music, video, pyrotechnics and "Firewater," bursts of flames that climb 25 feet into the air, lights up the sky.

Through Father's Day, Sunday, June 20, guests can register to win a new X324 or z445 John Deere lawn mower.  Entry forms can be obtained at Cedar Point's Guest Services, the Town Hall Museum or by mail.
