Tom Klein joins board of directors of Cedar Fair general partner

SANDUSKY, OHIO, January 6, 2012 -- Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN), a leader in regional amusement parks, water parks and active entertainment, today announced that it has completed its national search for an independent director. Tom Klein (49) has been appointed as a Class III Director of the general partner with a term ending 2014.

Mr. Klein is president of Sabre Holdings, one of the world’s leading providers of technology to the travel industry. Prior to joining Sabre in 1994, he held a variety of sales, marketing and operations positions at American Airlines and Consolidated Freightways, Inc. In 2006 and 2007, Tom was recognized by Business Travel News as one of the industry’s “25 Most Influential Executives.”

In 2010, Klein was appointed to the Corporation for Travel Promotion Board of Directors by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke. He also serves on the executive committee of the World Travel and Tourism Council.

The Company announced its plans to expand the board to nine members in August 2011. At this time it was announced that Ouimet would join the board as the eighth member and a national search for a ninth independent candidate would be commenced.
