"Fast pass" system might test this week

Word on the midways is that Cedar Point might test out a pass system (similar to one in use by Disney) for Millennium Force as early as this week. They system would allow guests to get a reserved time to ride the coaster.

Apparently, not everyone agrees with the move. Seasonals are anticipating problems when the ride is closed for weather or a mechanical problem. Others think that the wait times, generally ranging from 30 to 90 minutes, have become far more manageable with three trains running.

"It's a solution without a problem," said one manager who contacted The Guide over the weekend. The manager further commented that wait times are in line with those of any new attraction in the last few years, and the crowds have made shorter waits on other signature rides far more tolerable.
