Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster will debut in spring 2018, a remake of the wooden giant Mean Streak, which is getting a new steel track, a higher first hill and at least three inversions.

General Manager Jason McClure said complete details of the new coaster would be announced before the end of the 2017 park season.

It will likely feature a Wild West theme: The ride is located in Frontiertown, staff on Tuesday were wearing cowboy-themed hard hats and “Wanted” posters have started showing up around the park, teasing the new coaster.
