What was new when you first visited CP?

My first year as a guest was 1985 and Avalanche Run was brand new. My first year working there was 1994 and it was Raptor's first year.

There couldn't be two more extremes, cold there?

Heh...the Earthquake and Pirate Rides were the "new" thing on my first visit in 1966 when I was 12 years old. Mill Race and Space Spiral were pretty new too, I think.

Sky Ride was new when I first visited in the early 60's.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

1990 Dispatch Master Transport was new. I was tall enough to ride it and it was a lot of fun

It was either '95 or '96 for me. I remember the Summer Spectacular was a big thing, but i don't know if Mantis was there yet. My parents had to practically force me onto my first coaster, Iron Dragon.

Went with my dad in 1999. Woodstock's Express was new, I believe.
It was in the late 80's. I was born in July 1987, so I really don't remember anything until 1998. Power Tower, Magnum, Gemini, Raptor, Mantis, Mean Streak...All big adventures for an 11-year-old.

It was 1972 and I was 7, It was the week before my aunts wedding, and her hillbilly hubby to be cleared the Wildcat line by passing wind and yelling RUN!! Mom took me on Wildcat, Bluestreek, and CCMR. Grandpa got soaked on Shoot the Rapids.

Nothing big was new the first year I went. MF was in it's second season (2001) so that would have been the newest :) I must say though that the park is like crack. If I had known then that it would have started such an addiction... haha

Power tower was new when I went. I had to beg my parents to ride, and I was only 10. I hadn't even been on magnum yet! I have loved free fall rides ever since.

MILLENNIUM MANIAC 4EVER!!!

1994 for me...I went with my family when I was younger, but I couldn't ride much then...My first memories of roller coasters was at Boblo island and I loved coasters ever since...However, nothing in this world even compares to my first look at the midway in 1994 and that huge green monster of a ride towering over the midway...I was 11 at that time and I had never ridden a ride like it and still haven't to this day...Raptor was my first ride at Cedar Point and I always have a soft spot for that ride

1985 - I can remember Berenstain Bear Country being new, which is important to a 4 year old. :)
