^Wouldn't surprise me honestly, year I was there dragster & millie both got stuck from same storm, Millie was down for a few days while controls & electrical techs replaced the proxies & wiring up top that got fried.

I was in the GK line and heard somebody say it was struck by lightning, but that comment might go on that other post of "things you hear in line".

Why? Tall metal objects quite often get struck by lightning.

Lets see...
It happened to Millie, Dragster, Maggie (rumor), and Kingda Ka. It is possible that twister got struck by lightning. But we need proof that this is true before we can go any further into the analysis.

Leave the hypercoaster alone

Wicked Twister was running last night just fine. There appears to be nothing wrong with it.

I went just a few weeks ago, and the twister ran for like 10 minutes then shut down. The last time I rode it, it seemed like it was getting really close to the top where the bumpers are after it launches. It scared me alittle.

Twister is unpredictable. I miss launching that steel beauty.

I know people are going to be upset with me, but I thought I'd bring this topic back. While this isn't a troublesome question, it is related to Maintenance. I was curious, how do they take the trains off for Wicked Twister? I noticed when they were showing off-season pictures that the Wicked Twister trains were off. Do they take off part of the fence or something to get to it?

There's a section of track just outside the front of the station that is removable. Each car is then removed from the track.

And, yeah.. it's just a fence. They take it down to get in and out.

Is this where the lemon chill guy comes in?

Has CP ever removed a ride due to reliability? I'm thinking Wildcat may have been but they said it was at the end of it's life.

One could say that VertiGo wasn't very reliable. ;)

Chaos' removal could be chalked up to 'reliability'

Vertigo ran great. The off-season, not so much.

Was Jumbo Jet replaced with Wildcat because of reliability?

Given that was long before my time, I doubt it as Jumbo Jet is still running today, and Wildcat isn't.

^Actually, Jumbo Jet is still operating. It's currently in Minsk Belarus, and its actually in good condition. i think TPR has a pov of it somewhere.

As far as Wildcat goes, I believe it was removed for safety reasons. There were a few times in its final years of operation that it had minor collisions on the break run and lift hill that sent various people to the hospital.
