What ride absolutley terrifies you?

Before they changed it, Snoopy Bounce. I find inflatables in general to be pretty terrifying.

Apparently someone at Cedar Fair did, too, so the attraction was changed from a giant inflatable poised to go sailing down the midway to a rigid structure with a bounce cushion inside.

When did they change Snoopy Bounce? It makes me insane that we drive 6+hrs to CP and my son says that's his favorite "ride"...

ROUNDABOUND.

I'll have to check. I think it was put up in 1999, and the change might have been the next year.

Gemini. Mainly because the first time I rode that thing I was 7 years old. I thought the support beams were
gonna take my head off. I still get that feeling to this day. I remember going over that first drop as a little kid, I literally crapped my pants. Moral of the story is, unless they have balls of steel, don't let 7 year olds on Gemini

Hmmm...I was 9 when I rode it my first time.

I remember my Dad commenting, "I wonder how many heads they've lost on that beam back there..."

I have since seen the ride from the back and I can see just how close that beam isn't. But it is still highly effective.

Is that beam structural or just for the amazing effect? I love to see the look on first time riders faces during that drop!

I remember the first time my cousin rode Gemini. He is between 6'2" and 6'3". When we got to the "head chopper" He yelled and bent over with his head on his knees. "I could have been killed! Why didn't they tell me I was too tall!" We were all laughing so hard. He said it wasn't funny. He told the people behind us they could have been holding his bloody head. He was shaking so much and breathing so hard he had to sit down after reaching the midway. We had a hard time getting him to ride it again.

I always put my hands up high at that part. There's no chance of hitting anything, of course.

Anytime I see comments on the POV of Gemini on youtube calling it lame and saying there's nothing scary about it I think if only you saw that beam in person. Video does not do it justice.

I always yell "DUCK!" as we start down that second hill and sure enough just about everyone does.

I'm always a little amazed when I see someone like buckeyesbrownsindianscavs (to take a recent example) make a comment about riding a ride for the first time. He's obviously a young man and I have to wonder how old Gemini already was when he was only 7. I imagine it's easy for some of you younger folks to just assume the older rides at Cedar Point have been around forever. Then I get to thinking that I remember the season when every coaster that Cedar Point currently has was brand new, innovative, and exciting. (which, btw, is either awesome or depressing as hell, I can't decide which.)

And i guess that means I've been yelling "DUCK!" for what, 37, 38 seasons now? Hard to believe.

I was around when every coaster, including Bluestreak, opened. Oh lord, am I old! Where is my wheelchair?

Blue Streak went in in what, 64? I didn't muster up courage to ride it until 1966. It was the tallest thing ever.

I first rode Gemini in the summer of '07, so it would have been 29 years old. I was born in December of '99, btw :)

A lot of people mentioned wind seeker. I concur but only at Cedar point. The one at wonderland does nothing. I initially thought it was because at CP it was my first but wonderland did nothing and I've been back to CP and it's scary. Must be water.
I also agree with the Ferris wheel and can't do the green power tower due to height and waiting to fall. The TTD is also a challenge. I love WT but find TTD launch unpleasant

I'm going out to get some air.

So I'm not the only one with an unhealthy fear of WindSeeker, I see? I'm not scared of much - fine with heights - love Dragster, Power Tower, Slingshot, etc - even went to skydiving school and jumped all on my own - but this darn ride gets me every time!

Once you're about halfway up, I freeze and just start wishing it was over. I picture those poor people who got stuck on a WindSeeker in California I think for 3 hours, and were awarded an apology t-shirt. I wonder how many of them could have really used an apology pair of pants because they peed/crapped theirs? Think of the different phases of panic and mania that would wash over you while trapped in a 300' high swing for hours. I also start imagining those rigid arms breaking loose, sending your seat flying either straight into the lake, and sinking, or going splat on the pavement. Every time I ride it, the anxiety gets a tiny bit worse. Maybe I should just be done riding this one.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to fall in the lake, you might end up like the millennium force green train. Even if you fell in the sand, you might slowly start sinking!

Despite being a huge thrill seeker, I have an extreme fear of heights. So yeah, Millennium Force's lift is terrifying. Power Tower's drop side is terrifying. Skyhawk is terrifying. But I'm drawn to them like a magnet and I love all of them.

Then, obviously, the fear of being trapped underwater. Enclosed waterslides, (the now former) Shoot the Rapids, etc.

Another fear of mine is the OTSRs (over the shoulder restraints) on Raptor. Despite being locked in place, it can wobble nearly three inches in and out and it gets me so nervous that I'm going to fall out when it leans forward for the drop. Anyone else experience this on Raptor?

Ironic as it may be, Ripcord/Skycoasters still get me nervous every time. Even after riding countless times working the ride last season, every time was no less nerve wracking than the next. I'm very excited for much more of that this summer

Has anyone here tried SlingShot yet? I almost tried it a couple times last year, but it wasn't just the extra cost that made me balk- it was watching it launch a few times. It looks both really really fun and really really absolutely terrifying at the same time.

Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.

I rode the one at Kings Island before and I will say it is a lot of fun. It's like being on Power Tower thrust side, only you're in this big giant ball that moves around. I would do the one at Cedar Point, but they are pricey with the cost of it. I wish they had specials like Kings Island does during certain days/hours.

^ I literally saw Kings Island's slingshot change from $10 to $20 in a matter of walking by after riding Invertigo. I thought the change of price thing was different but a good idea at the same time.

Back to the question at hand. I have ridden every major ride at Cedar Point countless times except for Witches Wheel. My girlfriend and I got in line for it, but both decided to leave. I just can't do that much spinning.
