How is everything seem to be operating so far this weekend , Ride uptime, food service and other things?

The lock on the marina gate was broken and they couldn't get it unlocked right away this morning. Valravn didn't get running till 12:30pm.

Friday, everything seemed to be working pretty good. Park looked great and was a nice day in the park. Today has been a very tough weather day. It's cold and very windy. I've been impressed they have as many coasters running as they do. Last time I looked, most everything was running except for dragster.

Perfect rollback weather except you can't get on it. The have tried several test runs and about half of them rollback.

45 degrees outside, wind blowing, on and off rain. Having martinis at the Surf Lounge. Everything is working great.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Obviously late to the party, but we were there for Passholder Preview and the following morning. We'd never been to an opening/preview weekend before this.

While I would have preferred low crowds and minimal wait times, the atmosphere Friday night was fantastic. The weather was perfect, and the crowd level made it feel like a midsummer evening. We didn't even get to ride Valravn - in fact, we only managed to get on Gatekeeper and Skyhawk - but we still had a great time.

Saturday was of course pretty busy, and while we expected some issues, morning ERT was a bit of a disappointment. But, we grabbed a spot in line for MF, and were on the second train of the day. Valravn was not in the cards for us since we were only stopping by for a couple hours on our way out, but we did get a pretty great ride on Magnum before leaving.

Overall we enjoyed everything, including our first stay at the renovated Breakers. Holy cow, is that place fantastic now. But I don't think we'll do opening/preview weekend again given the crowd levels. Not really our thing.

Traffic is backed up to the bridge this morning. Anything going on today? This is quite unusual for a May weekday.

Lots of schools are probably having day trips to the park before summer break.

It's also Physics, Math, & Science week at Cedar Point all week long.

Promoter of fog.

^ I avoid this week for this reason. I'm stocked for the park in a business sense. However, in my experience can become quite busy. Rain, snow, hail, sleet, or sun.

This is definitely one of those days where the crowd level caught me by surprise, however I think CP is handling it well. It was just a quick trip with our daughter for some kids rides etc. but I was hopeful to sneak a ride a quick ride on Valravn, wow was I wrong!

Still a good day at CP, and yes, there are lots of busses, school busses as far as the eyes can see.

Couple Math and Science week with the fact that this is the last week of regular classes for a lot of schools in Ohio, and that makes this a popular week for school trips. My experience with this week is that early entry is usually good, then the park gets insanely busy until about 5-6, and then completely drops off after supper.

Most schools in Ohio go until the last week of May or the first week of June. The next three weeks will see lots of buses and school groups.

I thought I remembered going to the park on the first Monday and it was a ghost town. I'm thinking you can even add the awful weather over the weekend in addition to the field trips as a contributor to the crowd level yesterday. I still got to do almost everything I wanted. But there's always next time.

They had trouble the previous weekend on Saturday morning. Took several minutes, but the staff managed to get the gate open.

I live between Marion and Delaware, and I think every school here is done with classes this week and having exams next week. State testing has vastly accelerated the calendar for us. My kids started school on Aug. 13 this year and are done before Memorial Day.
