Kiddie Kingdom

That is a really good concept. I agree that the area could use a refresh.

I am concerned that you are removing 12 attractions that the smallest children can ride- needing only to be able to walk. You are replacing them with what looks like 6 Zamperla rides that cater to slightly bigger children (36"-42" height requirements)

I love how clean the Invert looks but I am not a fan of having 3 inverts right next to each other.

I did some imagining and came up with a concept of what an entirely new Kiddy Kingdom/Planet Snoopy expansion could look like! I added a B&M family inverted coaster as well as 7 other small flat rides. I retained 2 of the classic spinning car rides and rethemed them, then added a few more new kid/family rides that the park doesn't have yet. I also added a small stage as well as an shaded eating area, making the entire area feel more modern and complete with the existing Planet Snoopy.

Very cool video. It looks like something that would come directly from Cedar Point. You should definitely submit it to the park.

Looks mighty professional....
Maybe it came from the park.......
Hmmmmm?

Did you just leak some future CP plans, because that looks phenomenal and like RCMAC said, incredibly professional haha. A couple things looking at it, though. I agree with the others that the coaster’s height requirement might be too high. Kiddy Kingdom is for the smallest of children at CP, so if a coaster was going to go there, maybe one more like Jaguar from Knott’s would fit better. However, if the height requirement could be 42” (Flying Ace is 44”) then I’d be all for this design.

Also, what source did you create this on? It looks like the same one the park uses.

Agreed with everyone above, especially with RCMAC with regards to the Carrousel. It needs to stay for historical value alone.

I would keep a few of the circular flats as mentioned above because of the ability for very small children to ride alone.

Otherwise, very well done! I can see something like this being a major hit and really tie that section of the park together aesthetically, as Kiddy Kingdom does feel outdated in a lot of ways.

Wow, I have seen a few fan made renderings and attractions on this site but that is honestly really impressive and if you were to get banned for stealing official documents I would not be surprised ;)

For anyone wondering though, B&M does make a family sized invert with two seats across:

I agree that the conceived update to Kiddie Kingdom does look quite impressive, but I do share some of the concerns that rides for the wee-est tots are being replaced with slightly bigger kid attractions. I'd prefer to see a non-invert kiddy coaster that sports a lower minimum height.

Wow! Impressive piece of work! Sky Ride looked like it was stuck though. Break out the hand crank!

Wow, really impressive work RCoaster10. It looks 100% like a realistic solution. If that was the new attraction area for 2019, I think kids and parents alike would be very happy. And to be honest, I think adults would love the suspended coaster as well...looks more thrilling than Iron Dragon. Not sure if you are the same person that put together the Badlands wooden coaster on the former STR site, but love that video as well.

To be fair, aren't most of the rides identical to those already in Planet Snoopy?

^No, Planet Snoopy's rides are more like the ones in Camp Snoopy.

Personally I love the look of the refresh with the B&M family invert. That's a ride I would love to see make it's way to the peninsula. A family/kids friendly coaster towards the front of the park would be really nice.

This isn't a critique but IF point would add something like this or similar I would hope they could add a little length so it could run two trains.

Maverick...there is not one ride in the artwork that is in Planet Snoopy. They are all new rides and then two re-themed car rides.

I was saying current Planet Snoopy vs current Kiddie Kingdom.

Speaking of 60's Kiddieland, anyone remember the roller coaster and the individual train cars that you moved with a hand crank? Loved riding the little coaster but my favorite were the hand crank cars. Rode those over and over until my arms were sore.

Pete, my favorite ride at my local amusement park, Camden Park, was the hand crank cars. They are still there to this day. My son loved that one as well, when he was smaller and not a coaster crazy kid.

Speaking of which, I am looking forward to another trip to the point this summer. He's not only excited for Steel Vengeance, but he has hit the 52" mark and it opens up another 5 coasters for him. We plan on going on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Question though. I was thinking June, as the park would be a little less crowded, but on the last day, we want to do Cedar Point Shores. Will it be hot enough in June to enjoy it?

^They had the hand-crank cars at Memphis Kiddie Park a few years ago, but I just checked their page and didn't see it. Ridership was low because the Millennial mommies thought it was too much effort for their little precious.

Memphis Kiddie Park removed the hand cars at the end of the 2016 season. Ridership was indeed low. More and more kids today to not want to work for their entertainment. The ones that did ride it still, had to be pushed around the track. The nice thing that came out of this removal was that they got an old Kiddie Turtle ride. They purchased it from Stricker's Grove I believe. Stricker's only operated it for 1 year. I'm not sure where it was prior to that.

Out of sheer curiosity, what is being used to recreate the park in this video? I've admittingly not touched a RC game since RCT2 (OK, so I fumbled around with RCT3 a bit as well)...apparently they have come a long way.

A decent family coaster such as this is exactly what the park needs. Cool idea, at least.

I believe it is NoLimits 2 with custom scripted assets for the zamperlas

I love the look of that update to KK, and the family roller coaster as well. But I would not want any of those flat rides to leave the park. A few should stay with the remodeled KK, but more importantly a few need to move back to Camp Snoopy. My daughter was just under 36" all of last summer so could only ride a few things back there, and only with a parent. So we did not venture back there much, despite her love for the Tilt-a-Whirl. We spent much more time in KK as she could go from ride to ride to ride.

So while I fully support a revamp to KK, I would hope that all the rides find new homes in another part of the park (Camp Snoopy or the area where the stadium used to be). Also the 4x4's need to stay, only reason is that for some unknown reason they don't require an adult to ride for someone under 36" while the planet snoopy ones do.

I really am looking forward to this summer when she can ride most of these things without me, an adult body can only take so much spinning.
