Passholder Preview Night

Went with the 2nd. Maybe they'll have some kinks worked out if they run into any on day one or two.

^^Yeah, if CP&LE is running and stopping at the front station, it's not that big of a deal.

Steel Vengeance hopefully won't have a ton of technical issues when it opens. It isn't an overly complex ride compared to something like Maverick.

maverick is just working through the usual technical issues most new rides go through their first 10 years.

First ride; Magnum 1994

In for Monday! Seems like it could make for a nice early spring 3 day weekend!

If CP&LE isn't running, it's also not that big of a deal. Heaven forbid people have to use their legs a bit for a free event.

^ I really hope that guy was joking when he was seemingly pissed about parking in the front lot and having to walk back to FrontierTown...he's got to be a straight up troll at this point, no?

^ Pretty certain. Most of us figured that out with the Chill Out thread. There is always at least one -or more- trolls hiding about, trying to cause a scene. Drama Queen-Wanna Be!

Maybe he'd be happier if CP would pick him up and shuttle them to and from the park? A nice stretch limo, with a TV and a bar? Since it is a weekday event, maybe CP could offer to pay him for his time off work as well?

We are simply happy and grateful that the park offered to invite/open the park to let us enjoy an extra day in the park....now, the weather needs to be cooperative.

Got tickets for the 30th, along with the First Rider event. A big "thank you" to the folks at Cedar Point for their hospitality!

Plus, the walk from the front of the park is part of the whole experience. An added bonus.

What are you going to do if you can’t fit in the SV trains? Perhaps walking to the back of the park might help those on the verge of not riding actually get on.

Clearly the park is looking out for your best interest.

On a side note: has there ever been a media/preview day walk of shame?

If I have to walk all the way back to the CP & LE Railroad, I certainly hope they will have a refreshment stand open mid way to the station so I can take a refreshment break and sit on a bench for a few minutes.

My concern is that I am a slow walker, I waddle like a penguin and if I get an early ride time ticket for Steel Vengeance, I may miss it.

I wonder if I would have to walk all the way back to the front of the park to get a new ride time if I did miss it.

The heck with that, I will just enjoy all the free sampling of delicious foods they will be having. Can't wait to strap on the bib and hit the trough.

Sounds like your physical condition is probably to fragile to ride a level 5 thrill ride anyway. Maybe you should give your pass to someone else. For your own safety and the sake of the ride ops.

^^If you walk slow - a situation I can can certainly sympathize with - is it not possible for you to try to arrive to the park early?

^^^Sounds like someone should stay home.

I get that the post was made tongue in cheek, but from a serious perspective, is the food really free for this event? I don't remember reading that specifically and cannot find the link to the event description now that I deleted it.

I see the language printed on the ticket: "All attendees will have the opportunity to sample select FrontierTown food & beverage items..." but does that automatically = free? I suppose it could be read that way and probably should be read that way. But I don't want to come across as feeling entitled. ;-)

The ticket is tied to your pass and is not transferable. But I wouldn’t sweat it, bring a unopened waterbottle, and make your way down, I seriously doubt the ride times are going to be that close. But I would give guest services a call in advance to make sure and see if an accommodation can be made just in case. Cedar Fair really is the best in the industry in that regard.
