Wicked Twister?

One of my friends is at WT and he said that WT was not ready for opening weekend because it was having mechanical issues and maintenance's main focus was the bigger coasters (SV, Val, etc). He was sent to other rides for opening weekend and the ride should be operating this weekend.

Last few times I've been there, they've only been running one train, so I'm pretty sure that's a good indicator that they're going to tear it down...

Not to mention it valleys ALL THE TIME!!

When did CGA announce a double twisting impulse?

There was a 5- or 10-year plan a while back that included what sure sounded like a relocated or cloned Wicked Twister. If I remember, there was even a picture that looks an awful lot like Wicked Twister. Here’s a link...

^Thanks. I remember seeing that now. I was always under the impression that was just a list of comparable attractions across the industry and not something set in stone.

You never know. They sent Demon Drop to Dorney Park after the 2009 Season, so who knows.

Was MaxAir operating last weekend? There is a mighty big crane right next to it currently.

It was not.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

The crane is clearly there to relocate maxair to California’s Great America.

New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus

It's actually a new maXair feature for this year. They hook a cable to the arm, pull it back and release it.

That’s a great idea. It beats having to service that pesky motor all the time.

Professor Delbert’s maXair!

I was there yesterday and it was running, but I didn't see anyone on it at all.

Maybe the ride operators still have to do the 100 test cycles on it to get it re-certified.

No it was opened from afternoon onward. Got a nice windy night ride on it around 9pm.

Someone on Facebook mentioned WT got new belts... I was excited for a second until they said the new belts were even shorter. Pretty soon the will just hard mount the buckle to the OTSR, with no belt in between.

Every year I hear comments about how the seatbels are shorter than the previous year on just about every coaster. I think there’s a good possibility everyone is just getting larger.

WT seemed like a tighter than normal fit for me, and I’ve actually been on a cut these past few weeks.

Cp is going for the worlds tallest kiddy coaster record.
