TTD down long term?

It was down for a while last night. I thought if I timed things right maybe I could get a short wait if it reopened but I was in the wrong spot when it started back up by the time I was walking past there was already a line. I didn't bother waiting most of the time it goes down right as I reach the gates and the next train is mine.

They must have decided to make it available for Early Entry on Friday as we walked right on it at 4:50pm. I hope it is ER for the rest of the operating days.

When they were panning the web cam around during the parade, the line looked to have 90% of the queue line filled up. I remember waiting that long back in 2003.

So what’s up with TTD? Was there twice this year and it’s running then not then running. Certainly hope it’s not the signs of the end. Luckily got to ride it once.

Anyone have any news on why it’s down so much?

TTD going down frequently is news?

No it’s old news just wondering if they will ever figure it out. Love that ride, frustrating because you want to ride but don’t want to risk wasting time!

If they haven't figured it out in 15 years, I don't think it will ever happen. Pretty sure they know exactly what they're doing with the ride now as in when it breaks, they know what needs to be fixed right away, but there's nothing that can be done to turn it into a B&M or old school Arrow. There are literally many hundreds of even thousands of things to go wrong with Dragster given its complexity so it will never be as reliable as a ride with only a few dozen things to go wrong.

It was running the best I've seen it run in 2 years at Coastermanina weekend. No one in my group noticed it going down, except for rain. All those sensors and moving parts have to be a nightmare to keep going. Waiting more than about 45 minutes for it always seems risky.

That said, it's still one very awesome 1 trick pony.

Got my first ever front seat ride on Dragster on Sunday. It went down for approximately 15 minutes while they reset a train, then they finally launched it. I always try to get it out of the way first in the morning though, to avoid any other breakdowns.
Also, I must say that riding it straight up into the low-lying clouds was super cool.
