Kids and Halloweekends

My oldest daughter surpassed the 48-inch threshold this summer and has been excited to get back to the park to ride the "big coasters" again. We made a last minute decision to head down tonight (Friday) because we've only ever experienced Halloweekends on a Sunday. We don't plan on doing any of the houses but she is curious to do the outside walkthroughs in and around Frontier Town. Any thoughts as to whether this is advisable for a 7-year-old? I also have the same question for the Midnight Syndicate show. Thanks in advance.

Tall and fast not so much upside down...

My kid has enjoyed the outdoor haunts the last 3 years (he’s 9 now) wotha No-Boo necklace. The characters may still interact with your kid but they don’t jump out and scare them.

We are heading to CP tonight as well if we can ever get on the road.

ROUNDABOUND.

I think it will really be kid dependent. I know college kids who would never go to any of the haunts because they would be traumatized by them. And 5-6 year olds who would love them.

Maybe start out slow in terms of just walking around the park at night. Could sit near edge of frontier trail and let her watch for a few minutes. Can get a sense of how she will react and either walk through the entire trail and/or go through outside walkthrough or skip them if it looks like she is not ready/interested.

Enjoy. Looks like weather should be good.

Heard Frontier Trail is an absolute joke with the removal of Screamworks.

Is it a funny joke?

Aside from less in the way of props I don't see the change from Screamworks to Trail Of The Forsaken as being huge change.
