Magnum paint?

Anyone else notice a darker color painted on part of the lift hill? Magnum certainly could use a fresh coat!

Wasn't it just painted a few years back?

I believe for the 25th anniversary

Took a walk last weekend along the beach path to Lighthouse Point. The supports are looking particularly poor in some spots with some rust showing.

Heck, I'd be happy if the park painted the supports for Wicked Twister. It's been 16 years since they were done. (TTD has already been re-done!) They are badly faded, peeling, and have the original coat on them.

WT is such an easier paint job compared to other coasters as well. Not much track to cover.

I have a big feeling Wicked Twister will get repainted...in California 😭😭

^recent word on the point is that it’s not leaving afterall.

Recent word?
You mean after last year, bringing in heavy equipment to remove the stadium next to WT and leaving it standing, extending the boardwalk past WT, actually pouring massive amounts of concrete, fencing, and landscaping the boardwalk to specifically bump out toward the lake to aesthetically fit WT?
If there’s anything for sure at CP, is that a lack of maintenance and general disrepair is a sure sign something is being removed. Dropping major cash on a revamp to connect the parking lot entrance and specifically fitting WT in this design is not inline with general practice.

Speaking of that CGA Master Plan, has ANY of that happened? I don’t think it has.

ROUNDABOUND.

Recent word as amongst internal folks here on Point.
It may still leave, just not as soon as folks think.

How does the old saying go? Those who know don't say and those who don't know speculate.

Faded Aqua marine and yellow sure looks beachy though. Not bad for 16 years on the lake!

Speaking of Magnum paint...

A couple of weeks ago I was driving down the causeway next to a Plymouth Prowler of interesting color, too orange to call it red, but too red to say it was orange.

Yeah. A moly-orange roadster. Magnum colored. Seems appropriate!
