Happy Thanksgiving

I know it’s still a week early, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Blessed, safe, relaxing, and Happy Thanksgiving. No matter where or how you celebrate always remember to be thankful for your family, your friends and every Blessing from the good Lord above.

Thank you Jake, you as well.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Well that was nice. But I'll only be made whole if I get a free Fastlane + Pass for the stuffing & sweet potatoes at the dinner table. ;)

^ I get that the whole "made whole" scandal of 2018 is still all the rage these days, but I mean, what does that even mean in that context?? I get it's supposed to be funny, but sometimes we are just trying to crowbar that saying into EVERYTHING, no? Yikes. Either way, happy thanksgiving all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all. We are heading down to Kings Island Thanksgiving weekend to check out WinterFest again this this year.

Hope you are able to get at least a couple visits to WinterFest so you can get your moneys worth on your pass this year. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

We’re giving Dolly a whole lot of money next week. Really looking forward to it.

DS - I think I read a post of yours that said her park does a great job for Christmas. Hoping the shows are great as that is how I sold it to my wife. And having thanksgiving dinner at the Dixie stampede should be interesting!

We are heading to DollyWood in the middle of December and staying at DreamMore. We think the shows are excellent and love the Christmas feel of the park. We have never done the Dixie Stampede but would like to hear what you think of it. I think both Kings Island WinterFest and DollyWood's Smokey Mountain Christmas are up for best Christmas event this year.

I'm just happy to be taking the entire week off.....forget turkey, bring on VACATION! :)

...of course, i may be sure to squeeze in a (small) slice of sugar cream pie -my ultimate favorite. What's everyone looking forward to for Thanksgiving day?

....of course the Macys Day Parade, last year Charlie Brown was in the parade

My guess is that some people think it's just a funny way to mock people with critical opinions.

Have a safe Thanksgiving and holiday season everybody!

^Goodness. I thought it was a light-hearted joke about the entitlement bickering on the forum all year. Apparently it's still a sensitive subject, even in the context of Thanksgiving. I guess I assumed gravy was the one safe space for enthusiasts. NOTHING IS SACRED. :)

The joking about being made whole is at least more refreshing and relevant than the lemon chill guy references of posts gone by.
(His lemonade was very refreshing however, at least that’s what the LemonChill Guy said).
Lighten up, being perpetually offended has to be hard work, enjoy life and have a Happy Thanksgiving all.

We are under 180 days according to Tony’s twittering.

Looking forward to smoking a Turkey and having a chill day online shopping, maybe hitting WinterFest Friday night.

However I am now stressing on how to use up 6 Kalahari tickets that expire next Wednesday, to much stuff going on. If I don’t use them I can not be Whole. :)

Have a chill Turkey Day everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving fellow PointBuzzers!

I'll be enjoying all the family and food, then Friday I'll be back to the "Ride Host" grind for another winter at the Chalet toboggan chutes!

^ Those chutes in Strongsville are awesome, a fixture there since I was a kid in the 70's. Our church youth group went there each year, always remember carrying the toboggan up the staircase, then hot chocolate by the fire in the lodge. The hill seemed very high to me back then, now it looks puny. I guess Millenium Force changes ones perspective of hills. Neat thing, you don't even need snow or below freezing temps to operate. Have fun and Happy Thanksgiving.

But will the Lemon Chill Guy ever be "Made Whole"™?

What the entire "Made Whole" event was tied to the Winter Chill Out ticket purchases that took place at 12:00 midnight. For whatever reason, the ticket system was down at 12:00 midnight and some people said the hell with this, I am going to bed and I will get the tickets in the morning. The issue got resolved and the tickets went on sale between 12:20 - 12:30.

The tickets were sold out by morning.

I came up with the "Made Whole" comment, stating that the people that were up at 12:00 and went to bed and didn't get tickets, should be "Made Whole" due to the ticket purchasing system was down and they should have the opportunity to have access to the Winter Chill Out.

It's wasn't there fault that the system malfunctioned.

From what I was told is that Cedar Point will never do this again. I think they were trying to make this a hyped up "Black Friday" type event that blew up in there face at 12:00 midnight. It is more difficult to fix something at 12:00 midnight then at 12:00 noon.

There was an odd number of tickets sold to this event, so I am assuming that Cedar Point did make those people whole again, which was my point.

I had secured my tickets at 12:20 that night, but I know people said forget this and went to bed. The entire ordeal left those people with a bad taste in their mouth about a great charitable event and Cedar Point.

The discussion went back and forth a couple of days.

The big issue with Cedar Point is they have to put up with a lot of guests complaining about different things. Some justified and some unjustified, so a discussion about being "Made Whole" can be intense because the enthusiasts of Cedar Point regard the place at a very high value, some enthusiasts cannot comprehend that Cedar Point makes mistakes and how dare someone say so.

Now it's just a running joke.
