Winter Chill Out tickets on sale this Wednesday 11/28 at Noon

https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/events/winter-chill-out

So, apparently WCO tickets go on sale this Wednesday. Start times look very different than in the past ranging from 8am thru 12:30pm, but only departing every 90 minutes instead of every 30. Event date is Saturday 2/23.

Also says this will be a 6 hour tour. Has it always been that long?!? At that rate the 12:30 group will finish up after dark!

Well at least they're not making us stay up until midnight to be made whole again. Also, what is this site's obsession with the 'lemon chill guy'?

He's got the blueprints for the 500' stand up inverted woodie they are adding for the 150th.

I think it's said up to 6 hours for a couple of years now.

The first year it went to the longer format, I think it said 4-6 hours. We weren't more than an hour into it when two people in my group started complaining that it wasn't already over and about how cold they were.

It's a running joke in the same vein as:

'Made whole'

'Dippin Dots guy'

I think it's because back when the Dippin' Dots Guy was the go-to source for inside information (per rec.roller-coaster), Cedar Point didn't have a Dippin' Dots Guy, so the Lemon Chill Guy had to fill in.

Hmmm...I wonder if I'll be able to get a ticket this time. Last time I didn't even try because I was out of town the day of the event.

I've done every WCO since 2015, but I think I may sit this one out. I've got too many bills due at the moment and there's no major new attraction this year, plus one person that I normally go with no longer has Saturday's off so they would have to take a vacation day.

Okay, I hate to sound like such an idiot here, but can someone explain to me the whole 'Lemon Chill' thing?

See Ride Man's post, two posts above yours.

Not wanting to sound like another idiot, but where do I go to buy them. I can't find it on the website.

Perhaps buried in the nonsensical forbidden frontier section of the website.

Reading that old thread that Walt posted, it was hard not to notice a contribution from "Pete".

Have to pass this year, already have a prior engagement for that day.

Does anybody know how much tickets cost?

If forbidden frontier isn’t opening til mid season how much are they really going to show at WCO?
Seems like a not much to see here off season tour :(

They're probably going to show a WIP either way. Maybe they'll show you bare bones during WCO, and then save the best for last when it opens. I need to make a comic that came to mind when walt liked that thread to me. Yeah, I haven't been here for a long time.

FF's apparent significant staff requirements (operators as well as actors, it seems) may explain the "summer" opening date. If that's the case, there may well be plenty to see during WCO.

Does anybody know how much tickets normally are?
