Gemini being removed? ... Wildcat coming back?

I will be a little heartbroken if (when) they take down the Gemini. It was my first coaster ever, and it changed my life at seven years old.

I cried all the way up the first hill, begging my dad to let me off, utterly terrified (my dad probably thought "well, this was a HUGE mistake"...and by the time we got to the second hill, I was utterly hooked. We must have ridden it 12 times that day. We'd get off and immediately back on (now that I think of it, it must have been a VERY slow day because this would have been just 2 or 3 years since it's opening season).

It is still my favorite coaster in the park (I'm sure my nostalgia is part of that, but I don't care)

I know it's inevitable, but I hope it's a LONG time away.

Every Arrow looper is rough.

Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood would like to have a word with you. ;)

Granted it is 20 years newer.

It's also is the only Arrow looper to be designed in CAD (I think) and it also was the first to go away from cookie cutter sized elements and actually have the elements be appropriately sized for the speed the trains were taking them. Plus it used a new track design. Arrow learned a lot and really changed their ways for Tennessee Tornado. It's a shame it all fell apart before more modern Arrow loopers could be built.

I wonder if they held off on the 4D concept for another few years maybe even shelved it if they would've been able to rebound. I'm pretty sure X and the money they poured into it caused their bankruptcy. A huge gamble that cost them.

But TT is the outlier when it comes to Arrow loopers, not the rule. Most of them suck lol

Me: (first time on TT, as train is leaving the station) "Wow, this is already the smoothest Arrow I've ever ridden!"

Based on what I remember from the ACE documentary on Arrow: the money sink into X contributed, but the real killer was the time and money Arrow put into the Stratosphere fish-hook coaster. It was a too many eggs in one basket situation for a company already not in the best financial position, and THAT was the gamble that really failed.
