Windseeker closed for Halloweekends

^So, nobody wanted to ride Windseeker on the busiest days in the park? Fall days were very warm in 2017. I remember it taking an hour just to get into the park on a Halloweekend Friday, that year. Do they list all of the other rides that will be closed for the Halloweekend season, now? It just seems premature to announce that a ride won't be operating during the fall.

You guys are reading way too far into this. It's clearly a staffing closure. Sky Ride has the same message on it's page. They're likely just closing rides that require a lot of staff that are often closed for wind because when they're that short-staffed they probably don't want to pay to staff non-E ticket rides that keep going down for wind.

What other rides could be closed for halloweekends then?

This seems like a really smart, proactive way of addressing the fall staffing issues.

Promoter of fog.

They have been doing this for a while with SkyRide and I believe since 2016 with Windseeker. It’s a no brainer to do this, especially when these rides more than likely would be closed any way.

Yeah but they haven't been planning to do it in advance and usually just ended up closing them last minute when they realized they had no staff Actually, not only was Sky Ride not supposed to be closed but they even promoted a special haunt experience on it even though pretty much everyone else knew they would end up closing it for staffing during Haunt. I don't know why they ever thought this would be a thing but it's still on the website...

Scroll down to "2018 mazes and attractions" and move the slider and you'll see the "Skeleton Sky Ride" that (I'm assuming) never happened.

But what fun is this hobby if people can't wildly speculate and scream "taer it down!!1!" over a little scrap of information? Or fantasize about them building a gigantic wood coaster on the beach the replicates a ride that was scrapped long before most of us were born? #prayforwindseeker
