Cedar Point beach...

Simple question...

Am I allowed to bring my own cooler (with beer/soda) in it to the Cedar Point beach? I really don't want to run afoul of the local laws.

That's a tricky question...since they have places on the beach that serve alcohol I'm guessing bringing your own alcohol to their beach might be a liquor license issue for the park. Other stuff I would guess just depends on park rules I've never noticed anyone on the beach with a cooler.

I can't imagine you'd have any issue.

Even if it's a rule, it does not in my experience appear to be a rule that is being enforced, even a little bit.

During most of my Hotel Breakers visits, I've enjoyed my loaded cooler by the fire pits and on beach. I was never questioned once, as of last year anyhow. I kept it discreet by using can/bottle huggies & picking up after myself.

Keep passing the fun along!

I bring my own rum to the beach and just get ice and coke fill ups at surf lounge or if sandbar is open.

I think anyone can go to the beach without having to have to pay admission to CP (just pay parking) so anyone is welcome and I would think can bring whatever. We were there in June and friends brought a cooler of beer and got absolutely wasted. So you shouldn't have a problem

The official rule is no alcohol on the sand, but of course many folks still do it and enforcement is spotty.

CP literally sells alcohol on the sand, in multiple locations.
The ‘official rule’ changed like 3 years ago.
Alcohol of your own and coolers are fine on the beach, the CP police are there to make sure underage consumers aren’t a problem, and there’s a very good presence of officers controlling the beach.
