Rescheduled CP trip question

noggin's avatar

My planned trip to Cedar Point got bumped to early August.

My first trip to the park was in 1973 and for years my family went every year. But I haven't been in a few years.

What should I not miss, and where should we eat?

If you go before the 18th, I would definitely check out the beach festivities they have set up for Cedar Point Nights. There's dancing on the beach, fireworks, and, if I can remember right, a giant inflatable screen where they show movies. Even if you're not up to dancing yourself, it can be fun to watch- everything's very glowy and fun.

Agree with Solly, check out what they’ve done with the beach both day and night.
Shores is great to see the changes as well.

MS. Keats for dining is usually spot on and rarely disappoints, heard mixed reviews on the Hugo’s and Back Beat.

So much is new!

You should ride SV.

Have.

Got.

To.

It is a Moral Imperative.

Where to eat?? I'd recommend the Brick Oven Bistro or Diana's for dinner. Rapid Fired Pizza or Soba for lunch and the Jolly Donut for breakfast.

If you are forced to eat in the park... Chick-Fil-A (If you are not in on Sunday), Melt, Famous Dave's, Pink's, Bay Harbor, Miss Keat's, and Crystal Rock in Shores.

Go to Back Beat and get the smoked pecan pie. It is astonishingly awesome with 2,317 out of 5 stars...

I look forward to your trip report!

thanks for the Sandusky suggestions 1000 years of force. I'll be sure to try out a few the next time I'm down there.

So noted, Check out the beach, ride SV, we'll be going in, what, two weeks, so we'll take in the beach festivities.

I was absent minded and bought three tickets online and three tickets at Meijer, so we have no choice but to spend two days at Cedar Point. Oh, the agony of it all.

And we're staying at Express.
