Big Wheel and Midway Lift - single rider?

Hi all,

I bought a Gold Pass, and I'm looking forward to using it.

However, there are going to be times when I'll be going to CP solo, so I'd like to know: if I want to ride the Big Wheel or the Midway lift by myself, can I just ride in a car solo or will they make me get in a car with people I don't know? How does CP handle single riders, generally? If I'm riding a roller coaster by myself, will I get a row to myself, or do they have lines for single riders like they do for some rides at Disney World?

Thanks!

You can ride the Sky Ride alone all you like. The Giant Wheel, unfortunately, you can't (making it the only ride at CP that I've never ridden in my memory- I take all my trips alone and there are no single riders allowed. I think I heard somewhere it's to discourage people from jumping out. )

If you self identify as two people you won’t have a problem.

Riding rollercoasters as a single rider at CP will typically get you more rides if you're a 'marathoner'. For the major coasters, ride hosts will generally call out / look for single riders to fill an empty seat.

Another good thing about being a single rider is that you can partner up with another single rider in line.

I'd rather be sailing
