Maverick is way better than WWL ever was. WWL was a boring ride, never have understood all the nostalgia for it, when Maverick is one of the best coasters in the park!

I love Maverick and wouldn't want to see it reversed back to WWL. But I also have a spouse who will never have the courage (or faith in her injury-prone back) to ride Maverick. The more relaxed pace of something like WWL is more her speed. So WWL is one more ride that she and I will never be able to experience together.

I wouldn't expect a thrill-seeker-only to understand that 'nostalgia', but from my perspective of what rides can my wife and I both enjoy together = it is definitely a nostalgic consideration. It is also why I miss the Paddlewheel Excursion (excited in whatever form the new river cruise attraction takes) and the swan boats.

I would be in favor of bringing many of those types of rides and attractions back in some fashion where possible.

Proud to have fathered a second generation coaster enthusiast destined to keep me young at heart and riding coasters with a willing partner into my golden years!

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I love Maverick. I just also miss White Water Landing. Something like it- not just a flume, but something with the same length and feel- would be wonderful to have again. Snake River Falls is great, but it's hardly the same as a proper flume.

Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.

A new flume featuring some caves and caverns, planted with heavy evergreen landscaping to grow and fill into a beautiful wilderness experience. I strongly believe a flume and dark ride combo would fill the void with many park guests.

Could not agree more about missing White Water Landing. That was a fantastic ride. An actual slow log ride that had an amazing payoff. Oh, well. I know it is gone and will not come back. So we can just enjoy Maverick.
