? Winter Chill Out -Feb 25, 2017

I hope everyone is having a good time.....Couldn't make the trip due to weather in Iowa. 77 Degrees on Wednesday and today it's 20 degrees with snow on the ground. :-( Glad my fee went to a good cause.

Love the news about the drink plan options. It's about time! Here's my money!

Not to turn this into a drink plan thread, but... Do these plans carry over across Cedar Fair with a Platinum pass or is it park specific (I guess the same question applies with all season dining, too)?

ROUNDABOUND.

^^I have had zero issues the past two seasons using my season dining plan at other parks. I would assume this would be the same for a drink plan. I also had zero issues using my Valravn cup last season at multiple parks.

Tony and Jason said it will be available at all Cedar Fair parks.

Quick question... I was in the first presentation and Tony talked about the live shows for 2017 but didn't mention anything in/for the CP Stadium for All Wheels Extreme. Someone kind of asked a question about it but I don't think he heard it. Did he mention anything in another session? I wonder if, perhaps, that structure will be vacant this year. (We always hear speculation that it will get taken out soon, anyway)

CP Coaster Top 10: 1. Steel Vengeance (40 rides to date) 2. Top Thrill Dragster (191 launches to date, 4 rollbacks) 3. Magnum XL 200 4. Millennium Force 5. Maverick 6. Raptor 7. GateKeeper 8. Valravn 9. Rougarou 10. Gemini

All Wheels Extreme will be back. It's mentioned in the next to last paragraph of today's press release.

I'm probably the only one who will ask this; will the pony rides be an upcharge? :)

My girls were thrilled to hear about this. They care not about Mean Streak 2.1. Let's discuss the important things, people!

(and my question is actually serious).

Someone asked that for my group, but the gentleman (can't remember his name) said that it will be an upcharge, he doesn't know how much, however.

The Barnyard will not only have a new entrance but will grow bigger and have yaks this year!

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Weren't you saying over on CBuzz that your oldest was upset that she cannot ride the big rides at Busch Gardens? Now she is excited about riding a pony? Aren't kids and their fickle minds great!

Kings Dominion; she's at 53" right now with shoes, so we just need one more little growth spurt before July...

Or high heels.

Heck yes she's excited about a pony! :) Find me a 9 year old girl who wouldn't get excited about that.

The good news for her is that we'll be hitting up CP way before the KD trip, so she'll get her coaster fix in. She dealt with the "bad news" about KD pretty well...there's plenty else for her to do.

And a pony makes everything OK.

Really enjoyed the part where Tony talked about the entertainment venues. Sounds like there are plans to add a new theater. Hopefully this will mean the end the stadium on the beach. That area could serve such a better purpose. I wonder if that is at all connected with a possible Wicked Twister removal.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

Yakkety Yaks?

Seriously, this stuff all sounds great. Especially the Melt. I LOVE MELT. Can never eat a whole one though. Their sandwiches are ginormous.

Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.

Any word on when the old water tower will be coming down?

Any pics to share? Would love to see!

Doesn't sound like this year was the most exciting WCO . I would have thought they'd have spilled some beans about MS.. or had more to add to the park than Melt. Not complaining, just an observation is all

^^^ They say the old water tower will eventually come down, but only after Verizon cellular infrastructure that is currently on it is removed.

^ They did show a pic of MS (seems to show a slight bunny hop after the first drop and before the top hat, kind of like Twisted Colossus) from ground level and said more would be revealed when it is best for business.
