A ride that CP doesn't have & you wish it would...

The only companies that I think would try a hyper wooden coaster are Intamin and RMC. I know they ride similar to Steel Vengeance but I don't think Cedar Point would care.

Say NO to Maverick!

If Cedar Point called RMC and asked for a wooden Diamondback, for example, I don't see a reason why RMC would decline the job. That's different enough from SV, MF, and Magnum; as long as it's a good ride.

Honest to God, I have not ridden a B&M hyper, and what I think based on looks is that they don't look all that good. It's just Floater Floater Floater Floater. Big freakin' deal. Come on, get some ejector or some positive G's in there. I really don't think that if I were to ride a B&M hyper I would enjoy it. Are they really as good as people say?

I don't travel for B&M. I went on their first 3 hypers and said "no more". Now some are getting good reviews, but then again after reading the reviews for Nitro and then learning it has more dead hills than the sahara desert I decided I would not fall for that again. Maybe I will get out to ride Fury. Probably not.

Hmm. Honestly fury does look good. Hey, how accommodating are they to larger riders? Because I can fit on Steel Vengeance just fine.

B&M's tend to have big boy seats if you have trouble. You have to find them. I fit on Steel Vengeance but I am really tight on B&M but still fit. It has been a while since I was on a B&M hyper but I have yet to take the walk of shame. Considering I am 5'9" and over 250 I have been lucky.

I'm actually 5'3" and around the same amount as you(gained weight because I was in a car wreck and was completely miserable over the loss of my mustang), and only need extended row for gatekeeper. Where do you carry most of your weight? Thighs? Gut? Of course, if you're a woman, you also have to look out for your period because you gain weight from bloating because it makes it harder to fit in the seat.X(

Oh yeah, how come B&M is the only manufacturer that does extended row? Also, where are the larger seats in the hypers?

I am male. Most is in my gut. My thighs are a little big but not an issue. If you are close, you can crash diet for 2-3 weeks before and then fast for 12-24 hours till you test. Then pig out if you are good. Careful if you have not had greasy food for a few weeks. You might not make it through a long line. I fit on all seats on Gatekeeper but I need help to get the buckle closed.

Fury 325 is pretty dang good. I think it's quite a bit better than Millennium Force. Also a big fan of Intimidator there, and an even bigger fan of Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland (my favorite hyper).

As for 'predictions'. I really think Cedar Point is going with a B&M Giga coaster. It will be a larger Fury 325 type - 2020. High capacity, reliable, insanely popular with both GP and enthusiasts alike.

I'm actually female(probably the less common gender on this forum). What rides are usually difficult for someone who carries their weight in their gut mostly and their thighs? I mean, I am pretty close to normal row but I also probably can do it on the other rides because with GK you have to jump to get on the seat. Anyone else have to do this?

I enjoy B&M hypers, but hate the restraints. And riding Fury premier opening weekend was a bad idea because it was sluggish and unimpressive, so I don't even rank into my top 10. Of the B&M hypers I've ridden, DBack is easily the best ride.

After a little RCDB digging...
Fury 325
Intimidator
Nitro
Diamondback
Raging Bull
Apollo's Chariot

Do you think it is better than Superman The Ride at Six Flags New England or have you not been on that? And now Steel Vengeance is also a hyper but I understand if you are not including that.

I like B&M Hypers a lot. I get why people might think it's just floaters, but I think some of them give really good airtime, and some of those first drops with the clamshell restraints are absolutely bonkers. Ride Raging Bull or Apollo's Chariot in the back seat with a slightly loose restraint. Phew. Anyway, here's my rankings of the ones I've been on, in case anyone cares:

Goliath (SFOG)

Apollo's Chariot

Mako

Diamondback

Behemoth

Intimidator

Raging Bull

380 MF laps
Smoking Area Drone Pilot

It’s increasingly clear that most of you PointBuzzers need to get out more.
:)

Why any of you would want a B&M hyper installed when the park already has two far superior hyper models (Magnum and SV) is beyond me. Although I thought Fury was simply amazing (and I’ve been told I caught it on a really good day when it was actually running fast), B&M’s 200-footers are some of the dullest big coasters I’ve ever been on, with Raging Bull being the absolute worst with that trim on the third hill. If you just have to ride a B&M hyper, go to KI and don’t wish one upon the sacred grounds of Cedar Point ;)

Cedar point:Miss me with that b&m hyper S***.

Yeah, I don't think we need another hyper when we technically have 3.

I would love to see a b&m hyper at cp. I love the ones I’ve been on (Apollo’s, fury, intimidator) precisely Because they are designed to not be as forceful. I’m a fan of speed and big floating airtime over being thrown painfully into the restraint. Bring it on if they do it. But doubts it will happen with no space for that And having millennium and magnum.

First ride; Magnum 1994

I would love to see them build the world's fastest monorail. Also the monorail with the most inversions. The first monorail with a beyond 90 degree drop. See that's 3 world records right there and I'm not even trying!
