All Season Drink Plan Now Available

The All Season Drink Plan without a bottle is now available:

I just bought mine! After taxes and fees, it came out to $34.80. I figure I only need to use it about 6 time to get the full value of it and I know I will get that. And during the session I was in at WCO, Tony and Jason really stressed the "price subject to change" part, so if you were thinking about getting this, I wouldn't delay. And if you already purchased the plan with a bottle, you can change it when you process it at the park, but after that what you choose is what you're stuck with all season.

I'm really glad there is the option of getting an all - season drink option (paper cups instead of the bottles). It should have been an option years ago !!

I'm going to try and buy this at Knott's next month to avoid the processing fee since I already paid that when I renewed my pass.

If the price jumps, it may have just been cheaper to buy it now and pay the fee. Keep in mind Carowinds and KD opens at the end of this month and they may start adjusting prices around that time.

The FAQ section is kinda interesting. Looks like you can switch between drink plans for a $2.99 fee.

ROUNDABOUND.

Just renewed my pass today and opted for the disposable cup plan. (yay!)

Reading the FAQ page on the parks website, I know crazy right?

It does confirm that the plan is good at all CF parks. If you already purchased a bottle for next season you can exchange it for the cup plan if you choose when you redeem the voucher. Also if you choose midway through the season you would like to change to the cup plan you can do that as well at Guest Services for a $2.99 exchange fee, they will take your bottle and deactivate it.

Very excited for this option and I'm glad they're giving people the choice.

Edited for clarity.

It sounded like at WCO they said once you choose your plan, you can't change it. I guess they backed down on that.

I'm going to press my luck on this one. I never buy drinks normally so if the price goes too high I'll just not buy it.

I guess they were listening when they sent out that survey. I had already renewed everything for next season but I will be switching over to the cups when I turn in my voucher.

$5.99 processing fee to add this to my pass that I just renewed a couple of weeks ago... Ugh! Hopefully there is no charge to add it at the park.

Would also like to point out it was noticed on Facebook that the other CF parks are selling their plans currently at $29.99 while Point has theirs listed at $26.99. I checked the websites for Dorney and Carowinds and this is true. So if $3 matters to you it's currently cheaper on Point's website.

Hmmmm... I bought an all season bottle through CP back in August and now I have an early season Kings Island trip planned... wonder how much trouble it'll be to switch to bottle-less and redeem it at another park...

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

^^In the interest of good customer service I doubt you will have any issues, especially if you still just have the voucher. I would just go to Guest Services and let them take care of you.

^^^I already called a park and asked why the price discrepancy. I am awaiting a call back as they are trying to find a person with answers.

For some reason, if you have an active season pass, you have to upgrade thru the park you purchased the pass from. (Yes, I tried purchasing the upgrade from Cedar Point's site to save the three dollars.)

For some reason, the all season drink plan is not available on Knott's Berry Farm or CGA's websites at the time of this writing. (Yes, I have all of the online stores open in different tabs right now.)

I figured that the Freestyle machines are not included with the option but it doesn't say that anywhere. I have never had a souvenir bottle - could you fill those up at the Freestyle machines?

Yes, though in 2015 you had to pay a $0.99 up-charge, which I found to be embarrassingly petty on the park's part. For 2016 you could you use the Freestyle machines at no extra cost.

Don't forget in 2015 they did not have the "unlimited free" refill bottle. So all refills were .99 cents no matter where you got it. 2016 was the first season for free refills with the purchase of the orange bottle and they still had the .99 refill option as well.

I better be able to use it at Freestyle. I bought it with the intention of going there. It's not stated anywhere that you can't, so it's likely that you can. I don't see what difference it makes. Pop is pop no matter where you buy it.

Hmm, you bring up a good point about the price difference..

Ah, that's right, sort of. Freestyle refills cost $1.99 versus the $0.99 for refills elsewhere in 2015.
