Cedar Point dreams

Monday, January 8, 2018 5:14 PM

I had a dream last night where Cedar Point was moved directly next to King's Island, and the new park was named King's Point. It was cool.

This is the first off-season that I haven't had a dream about CP yet. Something is wrong with my brain, it must be!

My CP dreams of late keep insisting that I impersonate a maintenance worker to sneak my entire family into the park. I frequently get found out, and I sacrifice myself to security so my relatives can get away to ride more rides. Don’t ask me why...

I actually had my first dream the other night!

I got hired to work there and on my day off I went to see some of the shows. The first show I saw was Lusty Lil's Wild West Revue, but the interior of Palace Theater was way different. There was a new cast as well, and while Lil began to sing the usual opening song, all of us in the audience were given some paper activity (can't remember if it was a coloring page or word search). Then the cast would ask a question and we had to answer, and we would spend a few minutes talking about each one. So basically, the show went from one song to some classroom discussion. I was so disappointed that I left before it was over. I had to break the news to my little brother, who loved the show so much, that it was no more. I woke up during that phone call.

This was by far the strangest dream I've ever had of Cedar Point, haha.

I actually had one where the Steel vengeance outlaws kept getting in a time loop where they got killed over and over. I hear the news while on skyhawk, and I have to help them get out of it. Their bodies get hidden around the park each time they die and come back, but that's all I remember.

Been having more dreams this off season than ever.

Last night, I dreamed I was riding Steel Vengeance BACKWARDS!!! Probably due to me thinking about the ride every day and I saw a story before I went to sleep about the Great American Scream Machine running backwards (temporarily). Put 'em together and I rode Steel Vengeance backwards...

Now, THAT would be insane!

I dreamed of a CP winterfest in which not only was White Water Landing back, it was running bobsleds in it for the winter season. Wheeee!

Had a terrifying dream yesterday that we (Pointbuzz community) were playing some game on a coaster (I think it was Gatekeeper) and we had to eliminate something from the ride. The person who survived the longest won. Well, when it got down to eliminating the restraint locks and seatbelts, I thought I could handle it. Nope! My restraints went up while going down the first hill and I was hanging on for dear life, but I was unable to hold on. I think I woke up when I let go. What a scary nightmare. It was like a horrifying twist to the coaster game thread, lmao.

I never participate in this, but I've had two dreams recently. I had a dream I was at a Steel Vengeance preview type event, although the ride was more like X2 at Magic Mountain. I also got stopped on Magnum on the lift after multiple trains were on the lift at the same time and then the anti rollbacks failed, but resulted in a nice slow ride down the hill. Odd for sure.

The other one was that they saved the Mantis trains and had certain ERT where Rougarou became Mantis again and you could ride it standing up.

The Mantis thing would actually be kind of cool. I mean all they would have to do is keep a train or two on the transfer track, then just switch out the trains for ERT.

I had a dream last night where Cedar Point showed off plans during Coaster mania of what is going on in the place of where All wheels extreme used to be. The only problem with that was that I was stuck at school until 5:00pm. When I got there, they refused to show me the plans because I wasn't there when they announced it. I remember begging for them to show it again, but they refused. Good grief lol.

This one was a lot of fun, but also kind of scary.

So, I'm going to the park with a few old friends, and it's storming badly(like another dream I had) when we get there. One of my friends is filming the experience while we go. The rides are randomly swapping locations and we find this out by going to Iron Dragon, which Maverick is in its spot and would close for the shows. Iron Dragon was in Maverick's spot and made into a dueling suspended coaster, and we cut the line and start walking up the lift hill. Of course, we get caught and go for some other rides. Turns out, every ride at CP has better themeing. Skyhawk had a garden over the queue that provided excellent shade, and even better, the ride made a hawk's cry every time it start up.

Snake River Falls had a restaurant with a patio that connected into a swimming pool for families to eat, rest and swim with their kids. My cohorts and I take a break there, and then go ride other rides. We turn in later on at one of the hotels, and I slip under thanks to exhaustion. The next day I go to work there, and try to take the CP and LE railroad. The employees say an explosion of some sort destroyed it. The railroad is destroyed, but everything is open. My first week on the job is rather nerveracking as all everyone can talk about is the explosion. Many pointbuzzers that I were working with had massive injuries across their bodies that were quickly working to heal. My first week as a Skyhawk ride host passes, and I go to eat lunch.

On break, a couple pointbuzzers and Tony Clark come sit down next to me. Around this time, everyone had healed up from whatever explosion I must have caused with a few small scars here and there(Which were also sewing themselves up). I put down my copy of Go ask Rideman and we introduce ourselves to each other. So, yeah, they explain something to me. It's a contest or something, but the ride crews for the four major flat rides(Skyhawk, MaXair, Windseeker, and Power Tower) are supposed to amass the most points by the end of August to get the rest of the season off. I ask them about the energy form that flows throughout Cedar Point, and they say it's called Haos, which allows rapid healing of humans and repair of mechanical objects(provided they were saturated enough). Later on, I'm closing up Skyhawk for the night, and I'm the last to leave. Sure enough, Maverick and SV's outlaws are in a gunfight. I try to stop them, but all four give chase.

I jump into Maverick's pool and swim to thunder canyon and wove my way through there, and when I heard footsteps coming from by MF, I hightailed it to the town hall to grab my first aid supplies until I get shot. I manage to get my own firearm and first aid kit I left at Skyhawk and stumble into town hall. It's dark and something is hissing. I just lock the door and start to treat myself. I call 911, but my services have been suspended or something. Somebody's laughing, so I peer into the darkness to find the human versions of Skyhawk and MaXair talking and drinking. MaXair is a little loopy, while Skyhawk is just spaced out and VERY angry. I try to make conversation, but both rides are too drunk to stand. I pass out and wake up in the hospital later connected to some machinery.

Later on, everyone here is doing a late night livestream at the employee dorms. The sentient rides are included as well, while I'm passed out in the background. During the middle of the stream, I wake up and start sleepwalking. I wake up the next day and try to go to work, only to have MaXair in Skyhawk's place. Turns out, everything has turned into a videogame with multiple mechanics. Park Atmosphere would go down if something bad happened. Somebody's sanity would drain. Everyone also had perks to them that gave them an advantage. We also had HP, XP, and other stats. Right now, my own memory tree was locked or something. So, I go to do a few favors to get things. I start with SV's outlaws and do them some favors. I find Blackjack's missing cards around the park, and he gives me a county medical examiner badge. Chess and I pull some odd prank or something in frontiertown, and she gives me death certificates I've signed. I act as a safety diver for Digger, and he gives me a set of keys, confused as to why a woman would need so many keys.

Apparently I get money for doing favors for people. More quests later, I get an odd necklace , a Glock 17 and ammo, and at one point, I'm reunited with my sentient mustang Warhead. There's also an outfit mechanic that allows you to change clothes. So far, I had casual wear, my job uniform, scuba gear, and medical examiner, so switch over to my ride host uniform and work at Skyhawk with my right arm not functioning properly. Later on, I learn my energy source inside me is called Vicreformmen and it works by compressing and shifting mass. While I'm working, Skyhawk is just getting more out of control. I fire at her with my glock, and then she bit me. Turns out, she's bit other people, so I treat them as well. Apparently she had a prion in her brian

Later, I find Tony Clark, and he asks for help in tracking down Skyhawk after she left the park. I disable Warhead's anti-theft system and go find Skyhawk based on data from a chip implanted in her. We end up at an abandoned hospital and drive inside. We kill her 3 times with the haos bringing her back to life. After that was done, I try to get memory serum from Tony, and we start to fight. The only way he'll give it to me is if I give up something precious to me. He wanted me to give up my sentient mustang. Warhead winks at me and promises to take care of him with an evil grin plastered all over her grille.

He gets my car and fumbles with the anti theft system and starts driving around in first gear. My car then chuckles evilly while Tony then looks worried. Another employee comes to see what's going on. Warhead tries with all her might to throw Tony from the driver seat and succeeds at the beach. Nobody's hurt, but when he comes out, Tony starts yelling at my car. First off, it wasn't a good idea to take the keys to a car with 2,000 horsepower and a bad attitude.

That night, I talk to a few employees about the explosion. I remember how it all happened: As part of becoming an employee, I had to have a starter dose of it so I could absorb more. When they tried that, It reacted with my Vicreformmen in a violent explosion. So we get on to repairing the machine and absorbing the energies around the park. While the machine is being fixed, I'm going around the park and removing the bodies of those who had died throughout this dream. It ends with me partying with everyone else after all the events that transcribed.

So, yeah, that was weird.

My other recent ones involve steel vengeance being moved to a giant cruise ship next to Cedar Point and running with Skyrush trains.

Another one involved me getting fused with my totaled car, and then I gain powers from it, and I have to use them to prevent WCO from turning into a homicide.

I had this horrible nightmare that Cedar Point announced they were removing Rougarou. I know why I dreamed this. People on this site keep saying it sucks. Uuugghh!

I had a dream I was riding Steel Vengeance with a phone in my hand since the Cell Phone Ban was put in place. During one of the hills within the wooden structure (which was a tunnel in my dream), the whole train stopped. Then, Jason looked at me saying "Really? Really?"

Last night, I had a dream and a nightmare about Cedar Point. I will not talk about the nightmare, but I'll share the good part.

I dreamed that a new hybrid lift hill was being built over the causeway and the drop was going under the water. While somebody was driving the car I was riding in, I tried to get a good picture of the lift hill (hard to do when you're excited, in the moment, and it's the first time seeing it). I felt VERY excited for this coaster, and then I started nightmaring... and then I woke up.

Hey Bobb-z, for the last 2 weeks or so there has been major construction at the corner of causeway & 1st, possibly working on that lift hill. Actually they are working with water piping.

Nice Moody Blues reference by the way, for a young guy like you.

Last night I had a nightmare about car trouble that transitioned into a Cedar Point dream.

So the dream starts out with my focus' engine not starting, and when I do get it started, I'm pretty late to school. While I'm driving down Liberty Avenue, my accelerator gets stuck, and when the car hits 70 mph on icy roads(I didn't do anything on account of being scared ****less). I then had to react when I saw someone crossing by the old Lorain Ford plant, where I put the car in neutral and pulled the handbrake, causing the car to go skidding out of control, but the person and his kids were safe. I then freaked out and called my dad about that to tell what happened and my car was taken to a mechanic. So after that on route 2, it's extremely icy and someone hit me. I lost control of my car and ended up in a rollover, but I remember that I was perfectly fine.

Okay, now to the Cedar Point part. It's now Winter Chill Out, and they're running Steel Vengeance. I start arguing with the two other pointbuzzers in my group about who will get on and whatnot. When the train zooms by, the restraints are visibly open, and the park is challenging someone to ride. Nobody has stepped up mostly because of the catch: you had to get on the ride in the most creative way possible. While I'm staring at the ride, I just hear Jeff and ImpulsivePhoenix whispering something to each other and then Jeff taps me on the shoulder. Jeff says that he'll give me $5,000 if I can actually do this in 5 tries. Behold my well-laid plan:

My plan was to start from 5,000 feet off the ground and try and land on one of the open seats on the train while it's cresting the hill. Also for some reason, ImpulsivePhoenix, hnnhwlksn and I were wearing nothing but swimwear(and pretty much everyone else was). When I take a plane to 5,000' high, I jump off, and when I'm falling I notice the land surrounding the ride turned to water and I miss my mark by a long shot and I plunge into the freezing water below. I climb back into the station, soaked and shivering.

Now comes my second attempt, and this time it's snowing. Everything has seemed to return to normal. Except now it's SNOWING! I then land in 12' of the white fluffy stuff, climb out and get back to my plane. My third attempt gets bungled when I miss my mark and smack face-first into solid earth. I'm running out of tries, so I go back AGAIN only to be distracted by Tony Clark during my Descent. How was he distracting me? He was singing to some song by Taio Cruz or something, but it was pretty hilarious. 🤣 That moment of hilarity turns to pain when I land groin first on a part of the track from Steel Vengance. Every pointbuzzer watching winced in pain when that happened. Impulsive helps me out again, surprised I'm not injured at all, and this time on my fifth attempt, I actually manage to land in the train. The restraints close around my legs and I ride the ride!

After getting the $5,000 from Jeff, I thank him for it and decide it was worth injuring my groin and nearly getting frostbite. After the event ends, I head back to my car and order myself a custom sunfish and drive home. It arrives on my 18th birthday, and I take it for a test sail off main street beach. During the 2019 season, I'm seen sailing around the park. Oh, the joys of offseason boredom.
