Alright, so everyone knows about the platinum passholder slide night that's tomorrow. I checked the radar for tomorrow, and it looks like we're in for a lot of rain. According to Cedar Point, they'll often shut rides down when it comes to high winds or heavy rain, but how badly does it have to be raining for Cedar Point Shores to be shut down?

CP Shores is infinitely better than the crappy Rain indoor waterpark behind Thirsty Pony...

Based off the past couple of weeks, cold temperatures (<68º or so) seem to be the bigger factor for when the Shores is closed early. Since the forecast calls for a high of 64º in Sandusky, I would plan on the Shores closing early for the day for temperature, regardless of precipitation. However, for the Shores' grand opening passholder preview day in 2017, it was 60º and overcast and the preview went on normally, so it's possible the slide night may continue as scheduled. As one of the brave few sliders at that preview day, I can tell you that the slides and pools are heated, so the slides are actually surprisingly tolerable at those temperatures. (Getting out of the splashdown pools is another story entirely!) With all that said, however, comparing a slide night to a grand opening is apples to oranges. Overall, personally I wouldn't plan on the slide night continuing as scheduled, considering the double whammy of cold temperatures plus precipitation, which the preview day didn't have. Of course, calling the park is the best solution (since this is all anecdotal speculation), but hope this helps for the time being.
