Clam Bake

Has anyone tried the Friday night Clam Bake yet? We were thinking of going tomorrow night and then hanging out for the beach party after. How did it taste, how was the portion size?

Btw, I already know there are 1000 places we can get more food for less money. None of them are on the Cedar Point beach ;-)

Thanks!

Good question, I'm curious to know as well.

The subject of this thread took me way back to those teenage years, however.

We were there the 15th (the first night they did it) and did the option without clams ($16) since neither my wife or I really like them. Hard to tell how big the portions were from a cursory glance. The rest of it was the standard all you can eat burger, hot dog buffettstuff they usually serve. I certainly got plenty to eat. The corn cobettes and the sausage were pretty good additions.

Every time I scroll by this thread, I hear Elvis.

update: We did go on Friday and had the clam bake. Our bag had 7 clams, 6 good size shrimp, half a sausage, half a corn cob and two pieces of potato. It was good, I don't know if I would do it again but it was fun to have once. Next time we will probably just do the regular $16 lakeside buffet
