Does Frontiertown need to be updated?

Well, we discussed in another thread that there could be some new flat rides inside the Mean Streak. So how about lining the wooden supports with walls that look like buildings of the wild west. Then when you enter inside mean streak, it looks like Colorado or somethin. Then theme all the flats inside with an old frontier look. Give it fake rust and put cows all over it. That could help theme Mean Streak too. But I don't care about Mean Streak, that ride stinks. The Villain is 100 times better.
The mean streak is kind of empty in the middle.

Superman: Mean streak DOES NOT Stink!!! Villian is a good ride, though.

I don't see why they would use steel supports for Villain though.

Either way, Meanstreak definately does not get that backed up ever so something should be done with that extra que.

"Does Frontier Town Need To Be Updated?"

No, unless there doing more seenery and that kind of stuff maybe caugh...bring back the Frontier Lift...caugh. Other than maybe re doing a few things to make it look more frontier-ish i'd leave it be.

The Villain has steel supports because its cheap, and it doesn't kill many trees for wood. Mean Streak's open space is very valuable and shouldn't be wasted on queue. Lets put another coaster inside, a compact one like a GCI twister. Or a flying coaster. Or lets get all orthodox and build a vekoma boomerang inside! LOL!!
They should build a ride similar to drop zone (PKI ) in the middle of mean streak and call it "frontier fall". Just an idea.

Sorry to say but I also forsee expansion in Fronteirtown in the near future. I can see the Antique Cars getting ripped out (since the Cadillac Cars are up front by the Pagoda gift shop, why have 2 of the same ride like Dodgem) along with the old Carousel building that is used for the Haunted House during Halloweekends and the Swan Boats being taken out also. Just a thought...

Chief Wahoo, that's an awesome idea! That sounds like what CP will have to start doing in the future...intermingle their rides.

Thanks. That is one of the things I like about the raft ride at Kennywood. You can (or could) use spray guns as an observer and get people in the rafts floating by wet with the gun.

That whole area is a "water" section of the park anyway so this does seem to make some sense. Anyone been on the one down at Kings Island?

Sure have Chief!! It sounds like they have the same thing with the spray guns. I think the only difference is that PKI's is out in the middle of the woods. The only other ride you can see from the raft ride is the Kings Island and Miami Valley Rail Road. It's kind of neat how the Q cuts back into the woods. PKI has a ton of land for future devolpment.
I meant the soaker rollercoaster they installed a couple of years ago. Is it just for kids or is it an enjoyable adult ride?
Oh...not sure about that one...sorry.
It just needs to have more trees.

I didn't want to create a whole new topic If I didn't have to. Anyway, in the Valravn topic, someone mentioned that that Cedar Creek Mine Ride should be replaced. Now If that were to happen, are there things they could change to the ride without tearing the whole ride down? Granted this is just fantasy and What If scenarios. Personally, I would take away the sharp turns where it kind of whips you around and make it more like Adventure Express at Kings Island.

I'm not sure creating a new topic is any more complicated than seeking out a twelve year old topic tangentially related to your question.

I like Cedar Creek Mine Ride, the ride, as it is, sharp turns, two lifts and all. I would, however, be delighted if the ride had new, more comfortable cars to ride in.

I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.

I would be very sad is something happened to Mine Ride. It's a classic and a nice family ride. The next thing in Frontier Town to go is Mean Streak.

Looking back on old posts in this topic, some of the predictions were spot on. Ever since Maverick, Frontiertown is never empty at night. Heck, I never even see it empty at all. Reminds me of how good of an addition Maverick was.

It's a classic non-family ride.

I would be delighted with new trains that could accommodate someone 39 inches and under. The mild level of thrill would make for a perfect family coaster.

Like Noggin, I enjoy the sharp turns, etc, but I've always thought that its sometimes meandering course would make it perfect for parts of it to be enclosed with some mine-like wooden tunnels.

I would much, much rather see it get some TLC over replacing it. Then again, what do I know? Hell, just RMC the thing.

I'd like to see CCMR get better lap bars. It's a very tight squeeze for me most of the time.

Very tight squeeze and I swear last time it was even tighter for me which makes no sense because I finally lost a little weight.

New trains with individual restraints capable of allowing 39"-79" to ride would be ideal. The current design with one lap bar position for all 3 rows makes for uncomfortable rides for adults in a car full of children.
