Gate Price for 2K

The price for admission has been mentioned in a number of threads, with some complaining. Yeah, $38.00 is a bit stiff, but, overall, I guess it's not a bad deal for all you get. From what I understand, Cedar Point plans to offer more discount opportunities on gate price than it ever has before, so you can avoid full price if you make some sort of effort. Be sure and check their web site, and email them for information.

I'm not complaining. I got the whole summer locked down for as many times as I want to go for $85.

At the dawn of the new millennium they all bowed down to CP realizing they lost the war.
Lets just hope the price for everything else dosen't go up.

They now cost as much as going to a Disney Park (almost)
I know one thing that is going up. Bottled Water is going to be $3.00 this year instead of $2.00. I have a question. I worked in foods for 2 years. I would have people come up and ask if the stand that I worked at sold bottled water. I told them that the wagons sold bottled water. Then I offered to give them a free complimentary glass of water. They wouldn't take it. But then they would go over and spend $2.00 for a bottle of water. They would then take the water and pour it all over them, then throw away the bottle. Wouldn't it make sense to take the free water instead of wasting $2.00. I'm not trying to sound mean, but I think that spending $2.00 on water is too much. If you ask for a cup of water at a food stand all you have to do is keep the cup. That way you can pour water all over without wasting money. Plus all the food stands give out free cups of water. If you want 10 cups of water then you'll get 10 cups of water. I gave out 20 cups of water once to a group of 20 people. Sorry for getting off topic. I just had to get that out.

Or do what I do and buy it one time at the start of the season and just refill the same bottle all year at the drinking fountains.

Still on the water topic-just freeze your bottled water-it stays frozen most of the day and add to it from the fountains all day.....
saves major mula for that extra t-shirt (I have ALL the Raptor shirts BTW)

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
Maybe they will have a PE shirt this year!

When Magnum opened the price for a single Funday Admission was $18.50. 11 years later it has doubled, then look at how much money has been invested into the park! Five new coasters, one remodled (AR to DT), new hotels, new water rides, soak city expansion, light show, power tower, camp snoopy and general capital improvements to the park. I feel that $38 is a fair price.

yeah but this in my opinion it is a big hike up for 2000. If I didn't have a pass I would spend more time at other parks than CP. The general public don't look at what was added they look at the price and thats it. Then again I can't complain about three major improvments for the 2000 season. I expect to pay. I can tell you one thing though. I am really going to take advantage of that season pass this year!

They have to compensate for MF some how, besides they don't say how much admission is on the commercials so the GP will either have to pay it to get in or go back home.

Did anyone notice the temporary disappearance of the gate prices from the official site?
