Horizon Suite - Hotel Breakers?

Hi, We are planning our first trip to CP. Two adults, three kids (15,12,11). It seemed best to book a Horizon Suite. Curious what else we need to know:

1. Where do I find a current park map that I can print?

2. Are the upper floors worth it?

3. Closing time? Do the rides run until lines are empty?

4. Ideal times for big rides?

Any help, ideas, strategies are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Can't answer, never stayed there.

Yes

If you stay at the resorts, you get early access to the park at 9AM. That's the best time to get on Maverick and Millennium Force.

Any help, ideas, strategies are greatly appreciated.

Hit the 2 rides during your early entry. Go on Raptor and Gatekeeper later in the day. The lines for those get shorter as the day goes on. Start from the back and work your way up. If you want to go on TTD, line up for that after you finish MF and Maverick during early entry. Even during early you may still be waiting for MF and Maverick for about 30 minutes, depending on crowd levels that day.

What do you mean by, are they worth it? You're staying in a suite. I can assure you it's better than other certain parts of the hotel.

All lines to the rides close 8 minutes after the park closes. As long as you're already in line when they close, you're good. All rides will run until the line is empty, yes.

Thabto is right, start at the back and work your way to the front. Even with early entry. So, I would suggest Maverick as the first ride of the morning, then Millennium Force, and like he said, go wait for Dragster to open. Definitely wait to ride the big rides at the front of the park until later in the day. The lines will be almost non existent.

- Enjoy your time there.
- Utilize the beach if you guys like to. It really is a beautiful place. They have lounge chairs that you can lay out on, and covered wooden lounge chairs that you could sit in, and read a book if you're into that.
- Food at the park is fairly pricey, so be prepared for that. I recommend my favorite place to eat, Famous Daves, and get the Family Feast dinner. So delicious!
- If you want to get anywhere around the peninsula that isn't inside of the park, definitely utilize the free shuttle that takes you where you want to go. Just go to the guys at the small front desk, and they'll call and send one for you guys.
- Bring baby powder so nobody is chafing after water rides all day.
- If you want better quality food, there are places in/around Sandusky that have great food if you're willing to drive to these places. My favorite, being Chet and Matt's pizza on Strub Rd.
