Planning trip for June, Fast Lane Plus question

Hi All,

We are planning a trip for the last week of June staying at Lighthouse Point. We're going to buy a 3-day pass in advance to get the resort price, but wondering about FastLane Plus. How much is FLP per person per visit? I know 2018 prices are not out yet, but I'm not really able to find any pricing online even for last year to get an idea so we can budget.

If we will be at the park mid-week, is FLP necessary do you think? My daughter and husband will be riding the big coasters. My son and I will do the smaller rides. Wondering if it makes sense for all 4 of us?

Also... other recommendations of things to do in the area? We were thinking of hitting the beach obviously, parasailing, taking the boat to the islands and possibly visiting a zoo (Toledo or Columbus). Any other recommendations?

Thanks so much!

Hi;

The Toledo Zoo is one of the top rated zoos in the country. Roughly 60 miles from Cedar Point. Small enough that it is a one day visit. Downtown Cleveland is the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, also about 60 miles from CP.

As for your question about other things to do in the area, there really are a lot of great options -- too many to just list out. I would suggest taking a look at www.shoresandislands.com or stop in their visitor center just past Great Wolf lodge when you are in town and read up on their literature.

One of my favorites is the Merry-Go-Round museum in downtown Sandusky - just a block away from my office! But if you go to the site above you can get a better feel for what else the area has to offer in addition to Cedar Point.

Thank you! I will do that!!

Fast lane is anywhere between $85 and $150 based on the expected crowds for that day. However, based on the fact you’re going for 3 days, and on a weekday, I don’t think you’ll need them. If you do plan on getting them, though, your husband and daughter would probably be the only ones that need them because the rides you’ll really need them for (Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millennium Force, Dragster, Valravn) are all “big” rides. Even so, as long as you start the day in the back of the park and end in the front, you shouldn’t have any waits that are too terribly long. With 3 days you’ll easily get through the park, and will probably be able to do most things multiple times.

Between $85 and $150 per person per day? Holy moly!! Is that in addition to the general park entrance pass?

Yes it is. It’s admission, then somewhere between $85 and $150 per person, per day, for a total of between $135 and $205 per person per day.

Mid June it would probably be a waste of money.
If you can stay up til park closing time, you can ride virtually all the big coasters in the last three hours of the night with 20 minute wait times excepting Steel Vengeance and Maverick, which you can do during early entry.

The parasail is really a unique one time ride, but do the longer tour that goes up higher, it’s an amazing view on a beautiful day.

I would echo the sentiment from others that you probably won't need a Fastlane if you plan to do 3 days in the park at that time of year. The thing I would say, however, is if you do happen to get bad weather one day that perhaps rains out most of the coasters (most of the big coasters at CP don't operate in steady rain, some don't operate in any rain at all), you might want to then consider the FL Plus pass on one of the other 2 days to make sure you get on everything you want and not worry about line complications.
