Souvenir drink bottle question

Hoping for some advice from a few of you cp veterans. I used to go to the park pretty regularly but getting married and having kids changes a lot of things. I'm coming for 3 days the last week of July. I haven't been since '08 and last time I was there they didn't have a drink bottle program. We're planning to purchase the bottles but what are you supposed to do on the rides that you can't take things in line? One person in our party has a fanny pack with a bottle holder that straps it securely in place. Would they allow that on rides since technically it wouldn't be a loose item? If not, what do some of you do with them. I don't really want to buy a locker every time we ride one of the coasters that don't allow them. I know they allow fanny packs on rides but I wasn't sure about one with a bottle holder. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hiding places are good. Behind the throne on Valravn, in the Rougarou sign, in a bush by Magnum/Dragster. The only ride you may have trouble finding somewhere is GateKeeper.

You could just buy drink wristbands instead.

Aren't those only for season pass holders?

I don't think so. But I thought they had a single day drink plan.

If you want to be sure, it would be best to contact the park directly.

Thanks, I'll do that. I was thinking that I'd read only season pass holders could buy the wristbands. I hope I'm wrong. Drink prices, as everyone knows, are ridiculous but these bottles sound like more of a pain than they're worth.

The all season drink plan is for season passholders. If you're going for just a day or two, you want the Ride & Refresh ticket; adds unlimited drinks to your visit. I checked the CP online ticket store for you. On the last Saturday in July that ticket is $58, only $4 more than a single day ticket.

That said, 3 days of those tickets will cost you $174 plus tax and fees. A season pass with the all-season drink pass will cost $167.99 plus tax and fees. Get the season pass, save a few bucks, and leave the possibility open for another visit this summer! Oh and choose the paper cups option and don't worry about lugging around that bottle...

Thanks for your help Shane, that's nice of you. That's probably not economical for us though. We definitely won't be coming back this year. Plus, we bought a hotel and ticket package at express hotel and it cost us $90 per person for a 3 day ride and slide. Thats $270 for all 3 of us compared to $522 for all 3 of us for ride & refresh. That's a lot of money for drinks. Plus, with the 3 day ticket you can go back and forth from CP to the water park and the ride & refresh doesn't include admission to the water park unless I'm mistaken. Oh well, guess we'll just have to figure something out.

I doubt your fannypack/drink holster is going to fly on most rides.

Not sure about the wristbands that Thabto mentioned as I thought those were part of group packages only. This year they introduced an all season drink plan that gives you a 16oz disposable cup every 15 minutes for $30. Also good at all CF parks for the season.

From what I've read, aren't the drink wristbands only available to season pass holders?
