Track photos

Anyone have a picture of a packing slip for WT? Then we could compare all three...It would be better then 2

I don't think we were ever allowed that close to Wicked Twister during construction. If I remember correctly, the first track sighting wasn't until after CP was closed.

Why must Cedar Point tease us? If there is so much track stored somewhere else I am sure they could have fit 5 more pieces in the building. They are evil.
I am betting that the number is just Intimin's ID number for the ride.

As for Dragster... well, it could be the type of ride. It could be the name for the whole thing (or part of one) or it could be the name for one side.

If there are two tracks (dueling/racing) then one side could be dragster. Like Lightning Racer's two sides and Thunder and Lightning.

Just a thought.

The number is indeed not related at all to the ride's height. If you look on the picture of the Train Packing Slip in the MF gallery of this very site, you'll find that the number for MF was T-411. Odds are that the Dragster is the project name for #16 as the product name for MF (Giga Coaster) is listed on the train packing slip.

Obviously there is a lot of track stashed someone else either on Point or off. I won't put forth my guesses, just because we don't need any more speculation. If you look closely at that packing slip picture for Coaster 16, it lists that as Pallet 7, so presumably there is at least 6 more of these somewhere, but my guess in more than that of course. If you look even more closely, it lists descriptions of the track delivered, and the quantity of the first type of track looks to be 136 if I'm not mistaken.

Just thought I'd through that stuff in the ring for ya and see how it falls... Sometimes it's better to just sit back, read some posts, and try to piece together the puzzle. Many a great mystery have been solved that way. In any case, this look to be a very interesting offseason for construction and a great NEW season at the park!

I got a question about this packaging list. Who took the picture, and are we totally sure that this is real? It would be awfully easy too print something up that looks like the list did...
I took the picture and ThRiLLsEeKeR saw me...its real dont worry

The packing list is real. Franko took the pic. He was there taking his pics the same time I was taking mine.

Im a lurker....

Does anyone know what Xcellerator's packaging list said? If it said somethng like Rocket, then Dragster might mean ours is a dueler. If Xcellerator's said Dragster also, then mabey it won't be a dueler.

Didn't Jeff already put the kabash on a dueling coaster?

Considering the trains for Xcelerator are car themed, it would make sense to have the trains for this one be car/dragster themed.

And although cars DO race each other on two tracks at dragstrips, that doesn't mean a dragster must race against someone else.

I think the dragster idea is great...we can spend Wednesday nights drag racing at Norwalk, and Thursdays riding a dragster coaster!

There is an article in the Toledo Blade: page 1, second section. Walt is quoted in it.
The fact that we have two different color tracks and the name "dragster" is in the mix, I am very confident this will be a dueling or racing coaster.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't each coaster train designed by Intamin have the plate in the front seat with the project number? This T number sounds like the project number.
Correct. The number refers to what number of coaster it is. Millennium Force was Intamins 411th coaster they built. Three years later Intamin has constructed 41 more coasters. And Cedar Point's newest is the 452 off Intamins shelf.

Dragster most likely won't be in the name (I think and hope). It simply is just referring to the style of coaster. Millennium Force's list said "gigacoaster". Thus strengthening that dragster is just the coaster type.

The coaster type, unless it's a proto, is rocket coaster. (Since everyones so sure it's a rocket coaster)

That isn't a nickname that people made up, its what they call it on their site.

look at theis pic, go to:

notice it says Dragster on it, could be the name of the coaster. And it says “T-452” next to it, who knows what that means. My guess is that it is the hieght of the coaster. 452 footer, that would rock!!!

Oh and read this, There seams to be something wrapped under mantis. It looks like the trains to me. her ya go:

It's already been said... the #452 most likely has nothing to do with it. Intamin's 'code number' for Millennium Force was 411 with 'code name' Gigacoaster. It seems pretty obvious that the number has nothing to do with height.

I think it has been previously discussed that the third Mantis train is the item that is wrapped in blue shrink wrap. Since they don't use it anymore, they simply used shrink wrap to protect it against the elements for the time being.

For crying out loud. Those wrapped things under the Mantis transfer is the third train from Mantis. It absolutely has nothing to do with Project2003 and has already been discussed in these forums ad naseum.

If the packing slip is authentic, then the number probably a serial number used by Intamin. I bet if you look closely at the operator panels, PLC rooms, etc, you'll find some sort of label from the manufacturer with this info on almost any coaster, ride, etc. It's just a internal project and nothing more.

The only interesting thing I found on that packing slip is the "Dragster" model name. If it's geniuine, we pretty much know everything about the ride except for layout.

Ok, so we now have discovered that this T-452 thing has nothing to do with the name. This Dragster thing is very interesting, but I doubt it really has anything to do with the name of the ride, most likely the type of ride. The manufactioner rarely has anything to do with the name of the ride, so most likely this Dragster thing means nothing. But, if its possible that Cedar Point told Intamin the name of the ride in advance (for some reason that my imagination can't think of right now), then maybe Dragster has something to do with the name/theming of the ride.
